Switch on Zone 2
– Using the remote: Press and hold the Zone 2 button, then press the Standby button.
– Using the Cambridge Connect app.
On the front panel: Press the Zone 2 button (Zone 2 will be shown on the display), then press
the Standby button.
– In the Zone 2 Settings menu within the OSD: Zone 2 Power On.

Setting the Zone 2 Source to ‘Follow Main Zone’ will ensure that any video/audio (multi-
channel or stereo) that is playing in the Main Zone will be duplicated and sent to Zone 2.

Any multi-channel audio source (eg. Blu-ray movie) playing in the Main Zone will be sent to the
Zone 2 TV as a 2CH PCM (stereo) downmix when Follow Main is selected.
Notes:
Using HDMI connection for Zone 2 you will be using the TV in Zone 2 to play the audio and
video. The TV must have speakers.
When using Follow Main, the same audio will be heard in both zones. Whatever source is
selected in the Main Zone will be repeated as stereo in Zone 2. This means that any source can
be heard in Zone 2.

When setting the Zone 2 Source to any source that is dierent from the main zone, only sources
with a 2CH PCM (stereo) audio signal are output to Zone 2.
Notes:
In Zone 2, to watch/listen to a dierent source to the Main Zone, then the Zone 2 source must
be stereo.
The FM/AM Tuner and Stream Magic Sources are stereo and can always be played in Zone 2.
If a source is set to use audio from an analogue input, or a digital input as 2CH PCM, then this
can also be played in Zone 2 whilst a dierent source is being played in the Main Zone.
A source using audio from HDMI or a digital input must be set to 2CH PCM to be played in Zone
2 whilst a dierent source is playing in the Main Zone
When Zone 2 is On, the HDMI 2 output is also set to Zone 2. It is not possible to use the twin
HDMI outputs for dual (mirrored) displays when Zone 2 Power is On (unless using the Follow
Main feature).
• It is not possible to congure the second subwoofer output for Zone 2 use.
