Unit Identification System
The TaskSmart W2200 appliance server has a two-feature unit identification
system. These conventions provide a visual reference for service personnel.
The unit identification system is a tool that relieves the burden of identifying a
specific appliance within a multiple appliance location.
The first recognition feature allows a user to illuminate the unit identification
LED from all remote management locations. The appliance LED can be turned
on and off by using the Web Server Configuration Application as a
management menu item.
The unit identification switch is the second feature. Each TaskSmart W2200
appliance server has two switches, one on the front of the server and one on
the back of the server. When activated from either the front or the back of the
server, the unit identification switches illuminate both the front and the back
unit identification LEDs.
When moving between the front and rear of a rack filled with
TaskSmart W2200 appliance servers, you can use the unit identification
switches to quickly identify one or more TaskSmart W2200 appliance servers
that require service or maintenance.
Figure 1-2 and Table 1-2 show the locations of the front and rear unit
identification switches, and LED indicators.
