AKM AK4679EG is a 24-bit stereo CODEC with Microphone/ Receiver/ Headphone/ Speaker/ Line amplifier as well as HF/Audio DSP. The device finds application in 2MIC Noise cancellation and Echo cancellation systems. It can also be used in Bluetooth applications and provides for external PORT connection. The device has been designed to enable evaluation of the 2MIC-NC and EC system by just connecting to the target product. USB connection is adopted for control interface, enabling to develop DSP codes with a PC. It comes with a USB Control Box and Control Software.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The AKD4679-C is an evaluation kit for the AK4679; a 24bit stereo CODEC with Microphone/ Receiver/

Control Box
The AKD4679-C should be connected to a PC via an USB control box. The USB control box is connected to a PC with an
USB cable and the AKD4679-C with 10-pin flat cable.

· Power the AKD4679-C on.
· Push the HOOK button of the AKD4679-C for seven seconds, then the D1 LED starts blinking and build-in
Bluetooth becomes pairing wait state.
· Set a mobile phone into Bluetooth search state.

· Search result is displayed.
· Select [Free2move WA] from the search result and register it.
· Enter [0000] when password is required.
· Select the registered machine and connect to them when power-on the AKD4679-C next time.
The flow of search will be different according to the mobile phone. (ex. A password for mobile phone may be
required) Please refer to the handling instruction manual of the mobile phone for concerning details.
<Call & Disconnect>
Accept Call: When receiving a call, push the HOOK button on front panel of the AKD4679-C
CALL Setup: Push the HOOK button on front panel of the AKD4679-C after making a call by mobile phone.
Disconnect: Push the HOOK button on front panel
<Note>
The internal Bluetooth module can register three mobile phones maximum. The fourth mobile phone can not be
registered when it already has three registered mobile phones. In this case, all registered mobiles should be
cancelled once to register the fourth mobile. The internal Bluetooth module can be initialized by pressing the
HOOK button and BT-RST button in front panel of the AKD4679-C for more than five seconds to cancel registered
mobiles.

CONTROL SOFTWARE MANUAL
Setup of the Evaluation Board and Control Software
(1) Power the AKD4679-C evaluation board on and connect it with a USB control box.
(2) Connect the USB control box to a PC with a USB cable.
The USB control box will be recognized as HID (Human Interface Device). When it can not be recognized
correctly (e.g., unknown device is connected), please push reset button [yellow] on the USB control box.
(3) Install AK4679-C.exe to the PC. Then ready to evaluate.
The start-up image of control software is as below.

When the connection of PC with the USB control box is removed, it is required to restart the control software.

(1) Push the “refer” button and select the Program file. (Ex. AtoA.obj)
(2) If necessary, select the CRAM file in the same way.
(3) After select files, push the “Write” button for Download.
(4) Push the DSPRSTN to release the DSP reset condition.

AKM AK4679EG is a 24-bit stereo CODEC with Microphone/ Receiver/ Headphone/ Speaker/ Line amplifier as well as HF/Audio DSP. The device finds application in 2MIC Noise cancellation and Echo cancellation systems. It can also be used in Bluetooth applications and provides for external PORT connection. The device has been designed to enable evaluation of the 2MIC-NC and EC system by just connecting to the target product. USB connection is adopted for control interface, enabling to develop DSP codes with a PC. It comes with a USB Control Box and Control Software.
