The y-direction (forward and backward
movement) of the process station cannot
be initialized. Foreign material could be
obstructing the movement, e.g., lost tips.
1. Switch off the instrument.
2. Check the process station for parts
that may be blocking the y-movement
of the incubator plate and remove
them.
3. Remove the purication rack and
4. Switch on the instrument.

The optical ow sensor (OFS)
has detected that no system uid
or too many bubbles are in the
reagent loop unit of channels 1 or
2 (4) or channels 3 or 4 (5).
1. Restart instrument several times to ll
the 4 reagent-channels.
2. Verify that the needles are dispensing
system uid. Replace blocked needles.
After every drain (new installation or
reactivation of an instrument) the uid
channels are empty and need more
than one initialization to be lled
completely.
The OFS is part of the MagNA Pure 96
Reagent Loop Unit, which is an acces-
sory and can be replaced by the
operator.
If the error persists, create a problem
report and contact your local Roche
service partner.

1. Make sure the tip trays are properly
inserted
2. Make sure the waste rack is clean and
no parts (tips etc.) are present under-
neath the empty tip trays
3. Make sure the waste rack is pushed
completely to the back
4. If all of the above does not help, re-
place the waste rack (accessory)

The Tip Tray on the Waste Rack is
not loaded.
