1. Introduction

The OnQ 6 Room Audio Distribution Module provides the distribution of an amplified stereo and audio source to

six (6) pairs of speakers through impedance matching volume controls. The module can be mounted in any

OnQ service center enclosure and can accommodate up to 14 AWG speaker cable.

NOTE: Failure to ensure proper impedance to the source my result in damage to audio equipment and

speakers.

2. Description

The 6 Room Audio Distribution Module has fourteen (14) removable two-position terminal blocks which are

connected in parallel on a printed circuit board. The terminal blocks can be removed to allow for easier wire

termination. The module is half an enclosure width and occupies three (3) vertical inches of space.

3. Installation

A. Mounting in enclosure - Refer to Figure 2

1) Align tabs on module with slots on the rear of the enclosure.

2) Insert tabs by angling module away from the back of the

enclosure.

3) Rotate the module and insert fasteners on module into

corresponding holes on the rear of the enclosure. (Plunger

must be in a pulled position for fastener to engage hole.)

4) Push plunger in to lock module in place. Pull on module to

ensure module is locked properly in place.

B. Connecting Wiring

1) Identify the source (from media center) pair of speaker wires.

Position loosely along the side of the enclosure and position

over terminal block marked source. Trim with 2-3 inches of

excess.

2) Strips ends 1/4 to 3/8 inch.

3) Insert into appropriate terminal, keeping left and right “+” and

“-” identified.

4) Repeat steps 1-3 for each set of speakers.

5) Record source and speaker locations on wiring layout label on enclosure cover.
