Ensure that the total current of all the units connected to the wall outlet does not
exceed power supply capacity.
When using the extension cord, ensure that the total current of all the units connected
to this extension cord does not exceed the specification of the extension cord.
If it exceeds the specified current or power supply capacity, fire hazards may result.
Do not scratch, damage, or remodel the power cord.
Do not place heavy objects on the power cord, nor pull or bend it.
Or the power cord will damage and cause fire and electric hazards.
Disconnect the power plug from the outlet by pulling the plug instead of the power
cord.
Pulling the power cord will damage the power cord and cause fire and electric hazards.
If the power plug or cord becomes abnormally hot, first turn off the power switch and
disconnect the power plug from the outlet.
If used continuously in this state, fire and electrical hazards may result. Contact your
dealer.
Do not bind up the power cord even if it is too long, or this will cause poor heat emis-
sion and fire hazards as a result.
Do not touch the power plug with wet hands, or electric hazards may result.

6. Using the DC-6 mini, DC-8 mini
Separate sheets of paper before
stacking in the feed bin.
If sheets paper are not well separated, it may cause
misfeeding or double feeding.
Make folded or curled paper smooth before use.
6-1. Precautions when Stacking the Papers.
Align the paper before stacking it on the
feed bin.
Insert the paper to the feed inlet until it touches lightly
the guide face of the inlet.
Misfeed or double-feed may occur if the paper is not
aligned.
Check whether the ink of the printed
materials is dry.
Use after the ink on the paper is dryed well.
Semi-dried ink not only fouls the machine, but also
causes misfeeding troubles by the ink stain.
Do not mix paper with different paper
quality, thickness, and printing in one
bin or the machine may detect it as
multiple feed by mistake.
6. Using the DC-6 mini, DC-8 mini
Direction at stacking the paper
Depending on the paper size, the stacking direction varies as follows.
6-2. Stacking the Paper
Stack the paper lengthways as shown in the figure.
If the end of the paper is longer than the tray,
pull out the slide plate so that it does not hang
downwards.
Note:
Stacking Order of the Paper on the Bin
There are two ways of stacking paper on
the bin.
Stack the paper sideways as shown in the figure.
Put the first page on the top of bin and thereafter stack
the pages in numerical order.
The paper is discharged to the paper receiver tray with
the printed surface down.
Put the first page on the bottom bin and thereafter
stack the pages in numerical order.
Select the way more convenient to you.
6. Using the DC-6 mini, DC-8 mini
6-3. Procedures

2 Put the paper along the reference guide as far as it will
go.
Be careful not to stack too much at one time
since the paper stack amount is limited to about
20mm in height.
6. Using the DC-6 mini, DC-8 mini
This switch operation cannot be performed
when the downstream processing device is not
connected.
6 Select ON or OFF with the
downstream processing switch key.
Select “ON” when using a downstream processing
device.
Select “OFF” when the downstream processing device
is not used.
This operation cannot be performed when the
downstream processing switch key is ON.
Select the mode “Straight Stack” when not clustering
the paper.
7 Select cluster stack or straight stack
with the paper receiver select key.
Select the mode “Cluster Stack” when clustering the
paper.
The paper receiver tray moves automatically to
the appropriate position when it is not at the
proper position. The mode Cluster Stack
cannot be selected while the paper receiver
tray is moving.
6. Using the DC-6 mini, DC-8 mini
8 Determine the paper receiver
stopper position.
When using B5, A4, B4 or A3 paper etc., adjust the
paper size displayed on the paper receiving stopper
to that displayed on the window of the paper
receiving plate.
When using A5 size paper, attach the guides (A) and
(B) after pressing the paper receiver stopper as far as it
will go.
9 Determine the jogger (left) position.
When using A3 or LD paper, refer to "When Using
A3, LD Paper" on page 24.
When the cluster stack mode is
selected
Determine the jogger (left) position by matching the
paper scale in front.
When using A5 size paper, determine the position by
matching the A4 indication.
When the straight stack mode is
selected
1 Attach the straight stacking guide to the jogger (right)
which is one of accessories as shown in the figure.
6. Using the DC-6 mini, DC-8 mini
