Description:
The AMPAC ACP-05 double action re-settable Manual
Call Point (MCP) eliminates the possibility of accidental
operation and the cost and labour of replacement of
frangible elements.
Installation:
Observe anti-static precautions at all times
1. Remove the PCB mounting plate by unscrewing
the 2 screws holding it to the back box
2. Locate the mounting box over a flat surface and
secure with four (4) screws tightened evenly to
prevent distortion.
3. Set the address of the MCP by way of the
‘Address Switch’ See Figure 3.
4. Terminate cabling and MCP switch wiring as per
Figure 1
5. Screw the mounting plate to the mounting box
6. Screw the MCP facia to the mounting box
Note: To ensure line monitoring integrity always use
one (1) set of terminals for “IN” and one (1) set for
“OUT”.
Testing of MCP Operation
1. Isolate the FACP and set the device type in
FireFinder ConfigManager to S90 MCP
2. Lift cover and press on the element in the
location indicated above. The element drops
down to confirm operation and the FACP should
indicate an alarm
3. Reset the element by firmly pushing the key up
into the slot in the bottom of the surround as
shown in Figure 2.
