DispensingHotWaterfromtheWL500WaterTreatmentSystem
Todispensehotwater,selectthesmallHOT(Button3)andrelease.HOTwillappearinthedisplay,and
presstheMainDispenseButton.Thiswillopenthehotinputsolenoid(Solenoid1–notshownabove)
andallowhotwatertodispensethroughthefaucet.TheWL500WaterTreatmentSystemcanbe
programmedtodefaultbacktoCOLDorSparklingafter3secondsofinactivityasasafetyfeatureto
preventaccidentaldispensingofhotwater.
DispensingExtraHotWaterfromtheWL500WaterTreatmentSystem
Typically,theWL500WaterTreatmentSystemhotwatertemperatureissetto87.2°C(189°F).Insome
cases,extrahotwaterisdesiredformakingsoupsandteas.Totemporarilyraisethehotwater
temperature,userscandepressandreleasetheEXTRAHOTselectbutton(button4).Theword
HEATINGwillappearinthedisplayfor10‐seconds,whichwillraisethehotwatertemperatureabout
2°F.IftheuserpressestheEXTRAHOTselectbuttonagainafter30‐secondshaveexpired,theword
HEATINGwillappearinthedisplay,andthetemperatureintheHotTankwillberaisedanother2
o
F.
Eventually,astheprocessisrepeated,theHotTanktemperaturewillreachupto95°C(203°F),andthe
extraheatingwillbedisabled.Atthispoint,95°C(203°F)hotwatercanbedispensedfromtheWL500,
WaterTreatmentSystemwhichisadesiredtemperatureforsoups/teas.TheWL500WaterTreatment
Systemwillreturntothehottemperaturesetpointaftertheextrahotwaterisdispensed.
DispensingPremiumSparklingWaterfromtheWL500WaterTreatmentSystem
Todispensesparklingwater,pressandreleaseSparkling(Button2).SPARKLINGwillappearinthe
display.Fromthispoint,theuserhas3‐secondstopresstheMainDispensingButtonforPremium
SparklingWater.TheunitwilldefaultbacktoCOLDwaterafter3secondsunlesstheDefaultSetis
changedtoSparkling.(SeeProgrammingSection)
WhentheMainDispensingButtonispressed,Solenoid5willopen,andtheCO
2
gassupplyfromthe
bottlewillpushsparklingwateroutofthesparklingwaterchambertothefaucet.TheCO
2
supplyis
whatforcessparklingwateroutoftheSparklingChamber.Thesparklingwaterchamberis1literinsize
andamaximumof1literofsparklingwatercanbedispensedtotheglassatatime.OncetheSparkling
Tankemptiesofsparklingwater,onlyCO
2
gaswilldispensetotheglass.Atthispoint,themain
dispensingbuttonmustbereleasedtoallowtheWL500WaterTreatmentSystemtomakeanother
batchofPremiumSparklingWater.
WhentheMainDispensingButtonisreleased,Solenoid2and3willopen,andtheBoosterPumpwill
starttheMizzlingProcess.TheBoosterPumpwilldrawcold,stillwaterfromtheColdTank,forcingthat
waterthroughSolenoid3andtheCheckValveintotheSprayHeaderinsideoftheSparklingChamber.
ThespraywillentertheSparklingChamberasafinemistthatwillabsorbtheCO
2
gasthatispresentin
thechamber.OncetheSparklingTankfillswithwater,theLevelProbemountedinthetopofthe
SparklingTankwilldetectthewaterandsignalthePCBtoshutdowntheBoosterPump,aswellasclose
Solenoid2and3.NotethattheBoosterPumpcansupplythissprayuptoapproximately70psi,ifthe
CO
2
gaspressureistoohigh,theBoosterPumpwillnotbeabletoovercomethegaspressure,andwill
“dead‐head”.Iftheboosterpumprunsfor10minuteswithoutasignalfromthelevelsensor,thePCB
willshutdownthesparklingwaterprocessandsignalaNOWATERSUPPLYFAULTwillbedisplayed.
