The routers must be used indoors. To ensure normal operations and
long service life of the router, the installation site must meet the
following requirements:
The equipment must be installed in a clean, dry, and well ventilated
standard equipment room where temperature can be controlled
within a proper range. The equipment room must be free from
leaking or dripping water, heavy dew, and humidity.
Take dustproof measures in the equipment room. Dust will cause
electrostatic charges on the chassis and aect connections of metal
connectors and joints. This shortens equipment service life and may
cause failures of the router.
The installation site must be free from acidic, alkaline, or other
corrosive gases.
The temperature and humidity in the installation site must be within

5Power Supply Requirements
For hierarchical power supply protection, the current of each circuit breaker must be at least 16 A when the router adopts AC
power supply. Similarly, the current of each circuit breaker must be at least 50 A if the router adopts DC power supply.
The device supports front-to-rear and rear-to-front heat dissipation
modes. To ensure smooth and ecient heat dissipation, check the
airflow direction of the equipment room where the device is to be
installed, and ensure that cold air flows into the device from the air
intake vent and leaves from the air exhaust vent.
The device is air-cooled. The air intake and air exhaust vents must
be free from obstacles, such as labels, to prevent the air intake and
air exhaust vents from being blocked.
You are advised to select the power cable's cross-sectional area
and the device's circuit breaker according to the site survey result.
A 19-inch standard cabinet must be used, with a depth of greater
than or equal to 800 mm (23.62 in.)
For a cabinet with doors, reserve at least 110 mm clearance
between the device's front panel and the cabinet's front door, and
at least 100 mm clearance between the device's rear panel and the
cabinet's rear door. Note that the 110 mm clearance applies to
scenarios where there is no optical attenuator and the optical fibers'
LC connectors are 42 mm long at most. If there are optical
attenuators and the length of the optical fibers' LC connectors is
greater than 42 mm, the clearance is 110 mm plus the cable routing
space for the optical attenuators and optical fibers.
Each cabinet door must have 50% or higher porosity.
The cabinet must meet front-to-rear ventilation requirements.
The cabinet must be equipped with air filters.
The distance between front and rear mounting rails must be in the
range from 450 mm to 730 mm.
Huawei A610 cabinets are recommended. A self-purchased cabinet
must meet the following requirements:
Dimensions without packaging
(H x W x D)
2200 mm x 600 mm x 1000 mm
(86.61 in. x 23.62 in. x 39.37 in.)
Dimensions with packaging
(H x W x D)
2320 mm x 720 mm x 1290 mm
(91.34 in. x 28.35 in. x 50.79 in.)
The device is inserted into the cabinet from the front of the cabinet.
NOTE
NOTE
Install the ground cable between the device
and cabinet.
1Install the cabinet ground cable.
2
Install power cables.
Install DC power cables.
1Install AC or high-voltage DC power cables.
2

Ensure that power cable terminals are properly connected with correct polarity.
DC power cables need to be prepared onsite. For details, see
.
Install network cables
Before bundling network cables, use a network
cable tester to test cable connectivity.
Bundle the network cables in a rectangle shape.
Ensure that the cable ties are evenly spaced and
face the same direction.
Route cables at a proper distance from each
other. Otherwise, the installation of other cables
may be aected.
Route Ethernet cables, power cables, and
ground cables separately. The Ethernet cables
must not be damaged or broken or have joints.
NOTE
NOTICE
Install optical fibers.
Install corrugated pipes.
1Install optical cable.
2
Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves before installing optical modules.
NOTICE
The bending radius of the single-mode G.657A2 optical fiber and the multi-mode A1b
optical fiber must be greater than or equal to 5D (D: diameter of the optical fiber).
Cover empty optical ports and idle optical modules with dust caps.
Do not bundle optical fibers too tightly. You must be able to conveniently remove a
single fiber from the bundle.
Properly fix optical fibers onto the cabinet columns to prevent impact on the
surrounding devices.
Route cables.
Do not bundle or route outdoor cables (such as outdoor antenna feeders and
outdoor power cables) and indoor cables together in the cabinet or on the
cable tray.
NOTICE
To route optical fibers along both sides of a device, ensure that at least 110
mm spacing be reserved between the device's front panel and the cabinet's
front door, and at least 100 mm spacing between the device's fan side and
the cabinet's rear door. Note that the 110 mm spacing applies to scenarios
where there is no optical attenuator and the optical fibers' LC connectors are
42 mm long at most. If there are optical attenuators, the spacing is 110 mm
plus the optical attenuator height.
It is recommended that power cables and Ethernet cables are routed at a different side
of the device. Ensure that these cables do not span fan modules.
To facilitate cable routing and maintenance, you are advised to route optical fibers
along both sides of the device, as shown in the figure.
