Charging the battery for the first time
To charge the built-in rechargeable lithium battery,
connect one end of the USB power cable to the micro
USB port of the main unit and connect the other end
to your PC or USB output mains charger.
Note:
• It takes approx. 2 hours to fully charge the battery
• Whilst charging, the LED will show red
• When fully charged, the LED will turn off
• A fully charged battery has up to 5 hours of
playback time

Bluetooth pairing
1. Switch the power button to the ON position.
The Bluetooth indicator light will be a solid blue.
2. When you search for the speaker with your Bluetooth
device, you should see ‘PocketBoom XB’. Enter the
password ‘0000’ if requested.
3. When pairing is successful, the Bluetooth indicator
light will flash slowly.
4. If no pairing occurs within 5 minutes, the unit will
automatically enter standby mode.
Using the speaker
1. You can adjust the volume on both the speaker and
your device.
2. To turn the volume up, press and hold V+ on the speaker.
3. To turn the volume down, press and hold V– on
the speaker.
4. To play or pause, press the || button.
5. To skip to the next track, press the | button.
6. To skip to the previous track, press the | button.
Important:
For functions 4, 5 and 6, your phone or music player will
require Bluetooth profile AVRCP. If you are unsure as to
whether your device has this, please check your manual.

Care and maintenance
Wipe the unit with a soft, dry dust cloth. Do not use wax,
polish sprays or abrasive cleaners.
Caution:
Never allow water or any other liquids to get inside the unit.
