CLEANING
Even an effective air filter cannot remove all the dust from the air. The
coating of dust on heating surfaces obstructs the air flow and gives
poorer heat transfer. The coils must be kept clean, which is best
performed with one of the following alternatives or combinations of
these.
1. Blowing clean with compressed air
2. Blowing clean with steam.
3. Washing or rinsing with water. In the case of heating surfaces that
are coated with grease, an appropriate detergent should be added.
4. Vacuum cleaning.
Fig. 3
After cleaning, all the fallen dust should be removed before starting the
fan.
The drain troughs for the coils should be cleaned as appropriate. Also
ensure that the water trap is cleaned and filled with water.
EMPTYING
The drain plugs must not be screwed in after emptying, in view of the
risk that the control valve may leak and fill the finned body once more.
LQRT cannot be emptied completely, but the fluid must be provided with
a frost protection agent when the risk of frost is present. Water and
30% ethylene glycol must be used as the heating medium.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
1. Check the freezing point of the frost protection fluid.
2. Check the system pressure and top up if necessary with a mixed
frost protection fluid.
3. Check the flow of liquid. Check against the balancing report.
4. Check that water is present in the water trap for the exhaust air and
supply air coils.
5. Check the air filter and replace if necessary.
6. Check that the finned surfaces of the coils are not dirty.
Clean with compressed air according to the instructions or by washing
with water and a cleaning agent. All cleaning must be performed
against the air direction.
