Thank you for using ACTi Reader. This documentation contains basic settings of
your device. If you wish to add users, it is recommended to add users through the
Access Control Standard Server (ACSS). For more information, please refer to
the ACSS manual.
Part 1: Installation and Wiring
Installation
Attach the waterproof strip to the mounting plate.
Pull the cables from the square hole of the mounting plate.
Use a screwdriver to screw the base onto the wall.
Connect the terminal cables to the body and attach the body to the
mounting plate.
Assemble the covers with the bundled Allen key and scres.
Turn on the power, the LED will light and a beep will sound, you will see
“Ready” on the LCD screen.

Part 2: Basic Settings
Step 1: Go to SETTINGS
Press “*123456#” to enter the device SETTINGS.
Use the F1 , F2 keys to scroll up or down.
Use the * key to select an item and # key to enter menu.

Step 2: Set the Language
1. In SETTINGS, select “5. Tools“ then press # to enter the menu.
2. Select “1. Language”.
3. Enter the corresponding number of the preferred language. A confirmation
message will appear. Press * to exit the menu.

4. Select “Quit” to exit SETTINGS and return to the Standby screen.

Step 3: Change Password
1. Go to SETTINGS and select “5. Tools”.
2. Select “ 2. Master Code”.
3. Enter the new password and then press # to confirm.

Part 3: Other Configurations
Configure IP Address
1. Go to SETTINGS, select “3. Parameters (1)”.
2. Select “1. Node ID”.

3. Retain the preset value (default value is 1), press # to confirm.
4. Retain the preset value of the Main Door Controller (default value is 1),
press # to confirm.
5. Retain the preset value of Weigand 1 WG1 (default value is 1), press # to
confirm.
6. The LCD display shows a confirmation message, set to “1” to enable

weigand, then press # to confirm.
7. Set the device IP.
To Enable DHCP
To enable DHCP, select “1. Enable”. When done, the device will
automatically restart and apply the setting.
To Disable DHCP
a. If DHCP will not be used, enter a static IP address, then press # to
confirm.

b. Enter the Subnet Mask, press # to confirm.
c. Enter the Gateway, then press # to confirm.
When done, the device will automatically restart and apply the setting.

Configure RELAY
You can set the relay interval when a door opens and closes on the device.
1. Go to SETTINGS, select “3. Parameters (1)”.
2. Select “3. Door Relay Tm”.
3. Set the time interval, then press # to confirm.

4. If using a Wiegand control electric lock, you need to set the relay of the
Wiegand. Press # to confirm.

Restore to Default Factory Settings
If necessary, you can restore the device default factory settings.
1. Go to SETTINGS, select “4. Parameters (2)”.
2. Select “9. Factory Reset”.
3. Select the corresponding number of the item to reset. You can reset either
the System settings or User settings or both. The device will automatically
restart after confirmation.
