Installation Procedure
This section describes the procedures in installing the camera on the wall.
Step 1: Install the Mounting Plate
The device can be mounted on the wall either by mounting directly on the surface or flushed into
the wall where only the device front panel can be seen on the surface. First, determine how you
want to mount the device then install the mounting plate on the wall.
Mounting Directly on the Surface
1. Drill the hole where the cables will pass through
the wall using the mounting plate as template.
2. Mark or drill the screw holes, if necessary.
3. Install the mounting plate by securing
four (4) screws as marked on the illustration.
Embedding into the Wall
The device can be flushed or embedded into the wall so only the edge of the mounting plate and
the device front panel can be seen on the surface.

Step 2: Do the Wiring
Determine the devices that you will connect to the reader/controller.
1. The reader/controller comes with terminal blocks to easily connect devices to the unit. Once
you determine the devices to connect, cut off the needed terminal blocks and connect to the
corresponding terminal cable wires. Below is an example of connecting the wires to the
supplied terminal block.
TIP: For the most basic operation, the terminal cables for Ethernet, CN4 (for power adapter
and lock relay, etc.), CN5 (for wiegand connections) are commonly used.
2. Route the cables such as the power source and other devices (such as door lock, sensor,
etc.) that will be connected to the reader/controller through the hole on the wall and the
mounting plate.
3. Then connect the devices to the supplied terminal block. Below is an example of connecting
a DC 12V power adapter. Note that the RED wire connects to the DC 12V wire of the power
adapter (cable with white lines) while the BLACK wire connects to the ground wire of the
power adapter.
4. Continue to connect other devices, as needed. Refer to Wiring Diagram on page 13.
