Thismobilitydevicewasdesignedforpersonswhoseability
towalkisimpaired,butwhoarestillintermsoftheir
eyesightandphysicallyandmentallyabletooperatean
electricmobilitydevice.

1.4Indications
Theuseofthispowerwheelchairisrecommendedforthe
followingindications:
•Theinabilityoragreatlyrestrictedabilitytowalkwithin
thescopeofthebasicrequirementtobeabletomove
withinone’sownfourwalls.
•Theneedtoleavethedwellingplaceinordertoget
somefreshairduringashortwalkortoreachthose
placesgenerallytobefoundatclosedistancetothe
dwellingandwhereeverydaybusinessiscarriedout.
Provisionofpowerwheelchairsforinteriorandexterior
areasisadvisableiftheuseofhand-operatedwheelchairsis
nolongerpossibleonaccountofthedisability,yetproper
operationofanelectromotivedriveunitisstillpracticable.
Contraindications
Therearenocontraindicationsknown.
1.5Typeclassiî„®cation
Themobilitydevicewithamaximumspeedof3km/hhas
beenclassiî„®edaccordingtoEN12184asaclassAmobility
product(forindoorareasonly).Thismeansitisacompact,
maneuverablevehiclemainlyforinternaluseandnot
necessarilycapableofnegotiatingoutdoorobstacles.
TheClassAproductcanbeidentiî„®edbya3km/hlabel
ontheremote.
Themobilitydevicewithamaximumspeedhigherthan3
km/hhasbeenclassiî„®edaccordingtoEN12184asaclass
Bmobilityproduct(forindoorandoutdoorareas).Itis
thereforecompactandagileenoughforindoorareas,but
alsoabletoovercomemanyobstaclesinoutdoorareas.
1.6Regulations
ThevehiclewassuccessfullytestedaccordingtoGerman
andinternationalstandardsastoitssafety.Itsatisî„®es
therequirementsaccordingtoRoHS2011/65/EU,REACH
1907/2006/ECandDINEN12184includingEN1021-2and
ISO7176–14.Itwasalsotestedsuccessfullyaccordingto
EN60529IPX4astoitsresistancetospraywater,andis
thereforewellsuitedforweatherconditionssuchastypical
Europeanweatherconditions.Whenequippedwithan
appropriatelightingsystem,thevehicleissuitableforuse
onpublicroads.
1.7Usability
Onlyuseamobilitydevicewhenitisinperfectworking
order .Otherwise,youmightputyourselfandothersatrisk.
Thefollowinglistdoesnotclaimtobeexhaustive.Itisonly
intendedtoshowsomeofthesituationsthatcouldaffect
theusabilityofyourmobilitydevice.
