USING FOR TH E FIRST TIM E
Se tting th e Tem pe rature (Figure 2)
Ple as e note th e inte rnationally applicable care sym bols on
garm e nt labe ls .
On good q uality garm e nts th e y indicate th e corre ct ironing
te m perature s .
Th e ironing table indicate s w h ich te m pe rature is m os t
appropriate for a particular type of fabric. W e re com m e nd
s orting th e wash ing firs t. Start w ith m ate rials th at re q uire low
te m perature ironing (e .g. PERLON). Follow on by ironing
m ate rials th at re q uire progre s s ive ly h igh e r te m pe ratures. In
th is way you avoid dam aging se ns itive fabrics by us ing too
h igh a te m pe rature . W h e n s w itch ed on, th e pow e r indicator
lam p ligh ts up (Figure 1/J); it goe s out w h e n th e te m pe rature
s e t h as be e n re ach ed.
H ow e ve r, if th e te m perature s e le ctor (Figure 1/N) is turned
back, ple as e note th at it tak es a w h ile for th e s ole plate to cool
dow n. Only w h e n th e pow e r indicator ligh t com e s on again
h as th e s ole plate re ach e d th e coole r te m pe rature .
DRY IRONING
Se t th e ste am s ele ctor (Figure 1/F) to pos ition 0
(Figure 4/A).
Turn th e te m pe rature sele ctor (Figure 1/N) to th e de s ire d
te m perature .
STEAM IRONING
Filling th e Ste am Iron (Figure 3)
Th e w ate r re s e rvoir s h ould only be fille d w h e n th e plug h as
be e n re m ove d from th e s ock e t.
Se t th e ste am s ele ctor to pos ition 0 = dry iron (Figure 4/A)
and h old th e appliance uprigh t.
Fill th e w ate r re s e rvoir at m os t to th e M AX m ark . To do th is ,
you can us e th e m eas uring be ak e r s upplie d (Figure 1/P).
W ate r Quality
You can us e tap wate r up to 3 m m ol/I 17° dH w ate r h ardne s s
le ve l. Your local W ate r Auth ority can advis e you on th e
h ardne s s of th e w ate r in your are a.
If th e w ate r from your tap is h arde r th an th e above , ple as e us e
dis tille d w ate r available from a ch e m is t or a 50:50 m ixture of
tap wate r and dis tille d w ate r.
W h e n using for th e first tim e , ple ase note :
Fill th e reservoir w ith w ate r; s e t th e s te am s e le ctor (Figure
1/F) to m axim um pos ition (Figure 4/B).
H e at th e appliance and place it w ith th e sole plate facing
dow nw ards on an iron re s t or plate (Figure 5) to allow th e
w ate r to s te am th rough and activate th e s te am ch am be r.
You w ill obtain optim al s te am ing res ults and th e noise
produce d by th e s te am ing w ill be s te adie r afte r th e w ate r
re s e rvoir h as be e n fille d and draine d th re e tim e s .
Ironing w ith Ste am
To s te am iron, s e t th e te m perature s e le ctor (Figure 1/N) to th e
re q uired fabric type and w ait until th e pow e r indicator (Figure
1/J) goe s out - only th e n s e t th e s te am s e le ctor (Figure 1/F) to
th e de sire d pos ition (Figure 4/B). You w ill find w h ich
te m perature s e tting (fabric type ) m atch e s w h ich s te am s e tting
in th e ironing table . As soon as th e ste am iron is h e ld
h orizontally s te am be gins to form . W h en th e s te am iron is s e t
uprigh t again th e s te am s upply s tops autom atically.

Spray Function (Figure 6/A)
Th e firs t tim e you us e th e appliance , or if you h ave not us e d it
for a long tim e , you w ill ne e d to pre ss th e s pray function
button (Figure 1/H ) s e ve ral tim e s be fore w ate r com es out of
th e spray nozzle (Figure 1/D). You can als o us e th e s pray
function w h e n dry ironing.
Supe r Ste am Je t Function (Figure 6/B)
Th e s upe r s te am je t function is of valuable as s is tance wh e n
ironing, for e xam ple , cre as e s , e m broide ry e tc. You can trigge r
th e additional s te am je t both w h e n s te am ironing and w h e n
dry ironing.
Se t th e te m pe rature s e le ctor (Figure 1/N) to th e M AX
pos ition and w ait until th e corre ct te m perature h as be en
re ach ed, i.e ., until th e pow e r indicator (Figure 1/J) goe s out.
Rais e th e s te am iron a little aw ay from th e m ate rial and pre s s
th e ste am je t button (Figure 1/G).
Alw ays w ait anoth e r 5 s e conds be fore pre ss ing th e s te am je t
button again.
STEAM ING H ANGING ITEM S OF CLOTH ING
Turn th e te m pe rature sele ctor (Figure 1/N) to th e M AX
pos ition and w ait until th e pow e r indicator (Figure 1/J)
goe s out.
H ang th e article conce rne d on a h ange r and h old th e s te am
iron at a dis tance of 10 20 cm from th e m ate rial.
Now pre s s th e s te am je t button (Figure 1/G). W ait at le as t 5
s e conds be fore pre ss ing th e button again.
W arning: Do not atte m pt to fre sh e n up cloth ing w h ils t it is
s till be ing w orn. Risk of burning!
Drip Stop
Th e s te am iron h as an autom atic drip s top function. Th e drip
s top im m e diate ly inte rrupts th e cre ation of s te am if th e
te m perature s e le cte d is too low .
STORAGE
Re m ove th e plug from th e s ock et!
Se t th e te m pe rature s e le ctor (Figure 1/N) to th e Cold
pos ition 0 (Figure 2/a) and th e s te am s e le ctor (Figure 1/F) to
pos ition 0 (Figure 04/A).
Em pty out re m aining w ate r (Figure 7).
Store th e appliance s tanding uprigh t.
To s tore prope rly w rap th e m ains cord around th e cord
s torage (Figure s 1/M and 8).

Place th e appliance h orizontally ove r a s ink .
Pre ss th e s te am s e le ctor (Figure 1/F) for at le as t 1 m inute .
W ate r is flow ing out of th e s te am e xit h ole s . Your ste am iron
is now re ady for us e again.
