1.5 Safety-conscious work procedures
Observe the following instructions when carrying out installation, adjustment or repair
jobs:
When working within range of mains voltage:
For all kinds of work on open unit in operation:
Jobs on the unit can only be carried out if
– all poles for the power supply are disconnected
– the unit is secured to prevent inadvertent energising (also refer to "Electrical haz-
ard")
– the heat exchanger has cooled down to reach ambient temperature
Upon completion of jobs on the unit ensure that
– all protective devices are operating properly.
1.6 Proper use
The purpose of F800 units is to dehumidify, ventilate and heat air in indoor swim-
ming pools and wet areas as well as to heat and filter water for pools.
Proper use also includes observance of the operation manual and the inspection and
maintenance conditions stipulated by FläktGroup.
Improper use Any other (than the above-mentioned) application or use that goes beyond that
described as proper use is deemed as improper use. The manufacturer/supplier is not
liable for any damages arising from improper use. The user alone bears the risk.
Operating conditions:
Room temperature min. approx. 22 °C/max. 36 °C
Room air humidity min. 36 %/max. 60 % r.h.
Water quality Corrosion protection of installed unit components on the air side is ensured if the limit
values for chemicals in pool water as specified in VDI 2089 Sheet 2 "Water treatment
in swimming baths" and VDI 19643 are not exceeded.
– Only indoor installation of units is allowed.
– Recirculating air mode is possible
– Mixed-air operation with outside-air rate (only in connection with an auxiliary PWW
coil and outgoing-air fan)
– Direct installation, inderect installation
DANGER OF ELECTRICAL CURRENT!
Disconnect all electric power of the unit and ensure the power cannot be inadvert-
ently switched on, earth, short-circuit and block off all neighboring live parts. Non-
compliance can lead to death or serious injury.
DANGER – SHARP CUTTING EDGES!
No matter what kind of jobs are performed on the unit, there is always a risk of cuts
inflicted by thin sheet metal and heat exchanger fins. In particular, this aspect applies
when carrying out maintenance and cleaning work on the coil surfaces.
PERSONAL INJURY AND EQUIPMENT DAMAGE!
It is not allowed to operate the unit:
– In areas subject to explosion risk,
– in environment with conductive dust,
– in environment with strong electromagnetic fields,
– in environment with aggressive atmosphere that may attack plastics or cause cor-
rosion (especially in atmospheres where zinc is particularly susceptible to corro-
sion) or under conditions violating the requirements of the VDI 2089.
