Installation Instructions for 2821 & 2921
Series Dummy Lever
NOTE: Carefully follow these instructions when installing.
Screws to be tightened to a recommended 2.5Nm torque.
Step 1.

Install lever assemblies to door:
• Remove rosette cover (1a or 1b) from lever assembly.
• Place dummy lever assembly (2) with latch alignment posts (3) against door
face.
• Place dummy plate (4) into position, on back of door.
• Fasten lever assembly & dummy plate together with screws (5) & tube nuts (6)
provided: Use long screws for thick doors and short screws for thin doors.
• Install screws (5) from dummy plate side into the vertical tube nut holes (8) of
the dummy leverset under-rose. Then tighten both screw heads.
2921
• Reapply rosette cover (1a) to under-rose by pushing the cover over the rubber
ring until flush with door.
2821
• Reapply rosette cover (1b) to under-rose by pushing the cover
over the rubber ring until flush with door. The *grub-screw, which is
already located in the rosette cover, should be on the lower face.
• Check the rosette cover is square with the door edge. Fasten in place
with *grub-screw using allen key (9) provided.
*Note: Grub-screw is already located in the rosette cover.

• Fold Template where indicated.
• Position template on door edge at desired height.
• Firmly hold template & mark 5 hole centres (4 off 9mm
& 1 off 25mm) at required backset.
Note: 25mm hole 10mm deep only.
• Drill Pilot holes - suggest 3mm, then enlarge (4 off) 9mm
holes from both sides of door.
• Drill (1 off) 25mm hole 10mm deep on side of door
dummy leverset will be fitted.
