IMPROV RETROFIT HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ARM FOR DESK CHAIR(S)
Installation Instructions
1. Disengage the upper portion of the outer back
shell from chair, using the tool (supplied by Haworth)
designed for this purpose.
2. Remove existing arms by first removing screws
securing arm to chair back. Pivot arm backward,
disengaging lower portion of arm from chair body
and pull arm off of tube.
3. Disengage cowl from around tube and push
cowl up beneath outer back to gain access to arm
assembly area.
4. Hold adjustable arm in position shown and align
hollow lower portion of arm with chair tube. Slide
arm onto tube and pivot arm up into position to lock
arm into place on chair body. Secure each arm to
chair using screw provided in kit.
NOTE:
For chairs manufactured before July, 1995,
use arm as template to mark and drill hole into side
of upright bracket before attaching arm to chair.
CAUTION:
Drill only through upright bracket. DO
NOT drill into chair mechanism shell.
5. After both arms are attached to chair, replace
cowl over arms.
NOTE:
For chairs manufactured before April, 1995,
it may be necessary to cut away ribs from inside
surface of cowl to achieve proper fit of cowl over
chair tube and adjustable arms.
6. Re-attach outer back to chair.
