ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software
Users Manual
ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software is used to control LED HD Mosaic
Controller. With this software, we can:
Select input signal source in Cut or Fade mode.
Realize PIP, POP and Text Overlay functions
Realize switching between three mosaic modes and brightness
adjustment
Configure mosaic parameters of LVP40X
Realize Timer Control function, switch input signal source in Cut or
Fade mode under timer plan.
I. Control modes
LVP40X LED HD Mosaic Controller can receive operating commands from
ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software to switch input signal source or change
the brightness of output images. ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software controls
LVP40X LED HD Mosaic Controller Via RS232 COM serial port of PC.
User can operate LVP40X manually using the RS232 serial port software
supplied by the manufacturer, or create timer control plans, then the serial port
software will automatically control LVP40X under these plans.
To do so, first connect COM port of PC to RS232 port of LVP40X, then run the
control program ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software.exe.
II. Instructions of software menu
1. Main menu
Double click the software “ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software.exe”, the main
menu of the software as below will appear:

As shown in above figure, the main menu consists of the following
8 parts:
1) Select language (Chinese/English)
2) COM port setup
3) Select signal source
4) Display modes
5) Timer control setup
6) Select mosaic control modes
7) Brightness setup
8) Information field
1) Select language (Chinese/English)
The software supports two languages, i.e.: Chinese and English.
Here user can select a desired language.
2) COM port setup
Select a proper COM port in the field RS232_Com_Port, then
select a proper device ID.

You can view the No. of the COM in the “Device Manager” of
control PC as shown below:
The device ID you selected must be identical to the device ID of
LVP40X to be controlled.
Click the button “Connect”, the following message will
appear .
After the device is successfully connected, the function keys in the
main menu of the software will be activated, and the following message will
appear in the information field of main menu
Auto Connect:
Check the option “Auto Connect” or “Start Timer” in the main menu,
when the software is started, it will automatically connect serial port or
start timer respectively.
3) Select signal source
After the device is successfully connected, the software will read
the input signal source you currently selected and the blue
indicator above it will turn on. If the blue indicator illuminates
normally, it means the input signal source you currently selected is
valid; however, if the blue indicator blinks, it means there are no
valid signal input.
Click the signal button to change the input source of LVP40X, the
name of the new signals you currently selected will appear in
information field, in the meantime, the information appearing in the
panel of LVP40X will change accordingly.

4) Display modes
The software supports five display modes, i.e.: OnePic_Cut,
OnePic_Fade, PIP, POP, Text (Text Overlay)
If you select OnePic_Cut, the input signals will be
switched in Cut mode.
If you select OnePic_Fade , the input signals will be
switched in Fade mode.
PIP and POP modes: while in one picture display mode, click
, the blue indicator before the button will blink, select an
input signal source in the field “Select signal source”. If the blue
indicator before the button illuminates normally, the picture will be
displayed in PIP mode. While in PIP mode, click , the
picture will be displayed in POP mode.
While in PIP or POP mode, click the button OnePic_Cut or
OnePic_Fade, the system will exit PIP or POP mode.
While in one picture display mode, click , the blue
indicator before the button will blink, select “text input signal source” in
the field “Select signal source“, if the blue indicator before the button
illuminates normally, the system will realize text overlay.
While in text overlay mode, click the button OnePic_Cut or
OnePic_Fade, the system will exit text overlay mode.
5) Timer control setup

The Timer of ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software can be
switched as per the preset timer plan.
The input signal source of LVP40X. The system provides four
cycle timer modes, i.e.: Day, Week, Month, Once.
Select a preset timer plan, then click “Start”, the Timer you
selected will start to work immediately. To stop Timer control, click
“Stop”.
Click “Set Timer” to enter timer setup menu, where you can view
the timer plan you already set, or add, modify, delete timer plans.
For details, please refer to the Chapter “Instructions of Timer
Setup Menu”
Once the timer is started, ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software
shouldn’t be closed, otherwise the timer will not work.
6) Select Mosaic modes
LVP40X can store 3 mosaic modes in advance? Click mode
button of ViewRGB LVP40X Control Software to select mosaic
modes. Once you have selected a mode, the blue indicator before
the mode button will illuminate normally.
7) Brightness setup
Here you can set the output brightness of LVP40x. The system
provides 17 brightness levels from 0 to 16.
8) Information field
It displays current operation results and current status of LVP40X.
2. Mosaic setup menu
Click , in main menu, the system will enter Mosaic setup menu as
shown below:

LVP40X supports up to 12 groups of output channels, the input and
output parameters of each output channel can be configured separately.
The input parameters are based on the input and output resolution
appearing in menu of the software, while output parameters are the actual
resolution of LED screen compatible to the controller. For the maximum
and minimum values of each parameter please refer to the message given
in software interfaces.
First, select a proper mode; Second, select the output channel to be
configured, the software will first read the input and output parameters of
the selected channel in current mode. Fill in the parameters and save them,
then Mosaic Setup of the channel is finished. Then configure Mosaic
parameters of other channels one by one in the same way to complete
mosaic setup of LVP40X.
The mosaic setup of LVP40X will finally be saved in hardware of
LVP40X.
Click , in main menu, the system will enter Mosaic setup menu as
shown below:

If all the LED screens to be incorporated in the Mosaic mode are in
regular array, you can attempt to use Fast Mosaic menu to realize easy and
fast mosaic setup.
First, select Mode”, then select the array specification between LED
screens.
Enter the pixels of height and width of each piece of LED in the field
“Effects
show”;

Click output port, e.g.: , the selected output port will turn in
green, click , the system will automatically display the
calculation results of mosaic parameters of “DVI OUT1”. See Figure below:
Click the “Setup” button in input and output windows respectively to
save the configurations.
Set the mosaic parameters of each output port in turn following the
above procedures to finish mosaic setup.
While in mosaic setup process, you can adjust the “fine tune value” of
each mosaic parameter to optimize the mosaic effect.
The mosaic setup of LVP40X will finally be saved in hardware of
LVP40X.
3. Timer setup menu
Click in main menu, the system will enter Timer setup menu as
shown below:

As shown in above figure, there are two types of plans:
Cycle Plan
Once Plan)
Cycle Plan is sub-divided into three types:
Day Plan
Week Plan
Month Plan
User can select one type he desires
The plan items of Day Plan define hours, minutes, seconds;
Each week has 7 days, so the plan items of Week Plan define
week day, hour, minute, second;
Each month has 31 days, so the plan items of Month Plan
define date, hours, minutes, seconds;
The plan items of Once Plan define year, date, hours, minutes,
seconds;
Cycle plan and once plan can work together.
For each type of plan, the plan items can be added, modified, deleted.
For example, the figure below shows how to add plan items to a day
plan.

Select the plan already added, then you can modify or delete it.
