COPPER Water Supply Pipe
1. Clean all pipe threads to ensure threads are free of
debris.
2. Thread FIP nut of connectors into cold water intake
and hot water outlet of the water heater.
3. Slide female sweat cup ends of connectors onto
the copper water supply lines. Solder water heater
connection and copper supply line joint and wipe clean.
4. Tighten FIP nut connections with wrench -
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN
5. Turn on water supply to water heater. Check for water
leaks. If a leak is present at the thread connection,
further tighten connection as needed. If the solder joint
is leaking, turn off water and repair solder joint.
CAUTION
Do not twist, kink or sharply bend connector
Do not install connector if bent tighter than 5" diameter
THIS CAN CAUSE THE CONNECTOR TO FAIL
IRON Water Supply Pipe
1. Clean all pipe threads to ensure threads are free of
debris.
2. Thread FIP nut of connectors into cold water intake
and hot water outlet of the water heater.
3. Thread FIP nut of opposite end of connectors onto
the male threads of water supply line.
4. Tighten FIP nut connections with wrench -
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN
5. Turn on water supply to water heater. Check
for water leaks. If a leak is present at the thread
connection, further tighten connection as needed.
