Introduction
Overview
4KCVH2H is an HDMI2.0 audio extractor with resolutions up to 4K@60Hz (Chroma
sub-sampling 4:4:4 8-bit) and HDCP 2.2.
Its digital or analog audio output allows audio to be de-embedded from HDMI
input and sent to audio distribution system, such as AVR or Amplifier. Third-gear
slide switch for audio setting in EDID has 3 EDID (pass-through, 2.0ch and 5.1ch)
presets for EDID management.
By auto-detecting input signal status, it could automatically trigger CEC command
to turn on or off TV with CEC support. It can be used in any AV application, such as
homes, offices, digital entertainment centers, control centers, conference rooms,
schools and corporate training environments which need HDMI audio extraction.

Automatic input cable equalization and signal regeneration compensation.
HDMI input and output transmission distance up to 16ft/5m + 16ft/5m at
4K@60Hz 4:4:4 24bpp, and up to 49ft/15m + 49ft/15m at 1080P@60Hz
36bpp.

EDID Management
EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) is a data structure provided by a
digital display to describe its capabilities to a video source. The product features
an EDID management that can be used when the EDID doesn't meet the
installation requirements.
The 4KCVH2H features a third-gear slide switch on the rear panel. By default, the
slide switch is set in Pass Through position. Please refer to the table below to set
the switch manually.

Allows EDID pass-through from the display to the source
for optimal video and audio outputs to the display.
2.0CH Transfers 2.0CH EDID of 4KCVH2H to the source for
Optimum video and 2.0CH audio outputs to the display.
5.1CH Transfers 5.1CH EDID of 4KCVH2H to the source for
Optimum video and 5.1CH audio outputs to the display.
Note:
If EDID Copy fails, a fixed 1920 x 1080P@60Hz 2.0CH would be provided to
source device.
In order to achieve a better user experience, please refer to the following
audio support descriptions and examples for EDID setting during
installation.
1. Slide the EDID to Pass Through (default) ——Copy EDID from HDMI out.

By default (position “Pass Through, when connected to a 1080P, PCM5.1 TV, the
extractor will transmit the 1080P, PCM5.1 signal to it, SPDIF Output audio is
PCM2.0, and L/R Output Audio is PCM2.0.
2. Slide the EDID to 2.0CH——The option with 2.0CH.

Slide to position “2.0CH”, when connected to a 1080P/5.1ch TV, the extractor will
transmit the 1080P/2.0ch signal to it, SPDIF Output audio is PCM2.0, and L/R
Output Audio is PCM2.0.

Installation
Note: Before installation, please ensure the device is disconnected from the power
source.
Steps to install the device in a suitable location:
1. Position and install the mounting brackets of the device with the two
mounting screws provided.
2. Mount and secure the switcher to a surface or a suitable location
respectively with mounting screws.

Note
The HDMI source contains many kinds of device such as Apple TX, STB, Xbox,
Media player, Blu-ray player, etc.
The HDMI display contains many kinds of device such as TV, Monitor,
Projector, etc.
When connecting with HDMI2.0 sources, standard HDMI2.0 cables are
required.

Steps of Regular Troubleshooting Routine
1 Power: Please make sure all devices are powered on (source, extractor and
display device).
2 Indicator: Please make sure power LED is normal powered on.
3 Devices: Please make sure pictures can be shown normally when
connecting source to display devices directly.
4 Cable: Plug in and out HDMI cable or try another HDMI cable.
Please make sure the cable length is within the available transmission
range according to Specification section.
Standard HDMI 2.0 cable is required when 18G signal (4K@60Hz 4:4:4
8bit) is being transmitted.
5 Compatibility: Please test the source and display device to determine
whether there are compatibility issues.
Typical Questions
How to deal with video flash or cut off during installation?
Power indicator should be solid on. If not, please check if the power adapter
is well connected.
Please check if the HDMI cables are well connected to the source and
display. Try to change to a better HDMI cable. Also, make sure your source
and display support 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit.

Warranty
Products are backed by a limited 1-year parts and labor warranty. For the
following cases AV Access Technology Limited shall charge for the service(s)
claimed for the products if the product is still remediable and the warranty card
becomes unenforceable or inapplicable.
1. The original serial number (specified by AV Access Technology Limited)
labeled on the product has been removed, erased, replaced, defaced or is
illegible.
2. The warranty has expired.
3. The defects are caused by the fact that the product is repaired, dismantled
or altered by anyone that is not from an AV Access Technology Limited
authorized service partner. The defects are caused by the fact that the
product is used or handled improperly, roughly or not as instructed in the
applicable User Guide.
4. The defects are caused by any force majeure including but not limited to
accidents, fire, earthquake, lightning, tsunami and war.
5. The service, configuration and gifts promised by salesman only but not
covered by normal contract.
6. AV Access Technology Limited preserves the right for interpretation of these
cases above and to make changes to them at any time without notice.
