4. Configure terminal profile in CS
2100
Enter the management console of the SSL application
on the CS 2100 by using web browser and going to:
http://<ip-address>:12120
Click the link for the MCP Management Console
Java will launch and connect to the server and login.
Proceed to open the “Network Data and Mtc” group in
the left menu
Open the “SIP Profiles” sub-menu
Open “SIP Profiles”
Hit the “+” symbol to add a profile to the system
Choose the “Default” as the template to be copied
Once open create a profile named “AvayaB179” as
shown in figure 3 adjacent.
Creation of a profile will prevent the system from
going into alarm when the phone registers for the first
time. This alarm is not a fault alarm, it is informational
identifying that system has a unidentified terminal
profile registered to the system.
Once complete click “Apply” and profile is available
on the system.

5. Verification Steps
Once completed the phone should register with the CS 2100. This should be verified by the
square status identifier next to the lab on the screen. If the terminal has successfully register with
the CS 2100 this should show up as fully dark. If the box is outlined, then the user isn’t
registered with the call server and further investigation as to the reason for the failure may be
necessary.
If the phone has successfully registered, then verify calling capabilities as defined by the class of
service which the user account has been created under.
6. Conclusion
All Application Notes should have a two or more sentence conclusion outlining what the user
should have completed if followed.
