3.1 DIMM-PC replacement process
Process
1. Safety first. Ensure you understand and follow the "Servicing safety instructions", page 3.
2. Remove th e back cover of the ILite tile. This can be done while the tile rem ains in the LED-wall. It is not necessary to remove
the re-sync unit. See service proced ure "Removing the cover", page 7.
3. Remove the power assembly. Note that the power a ssembly consist in the SMPS unit, the mounting plate and the f an. See
procedure "Removing the power assembly", page 8 .
4. Remove the controller unit. See procedure "Removing the controller unit", page 9.
5. Remove the DIMM-PC from the controller unit. See procedure "Removing the DIMM-PC", page
10
6. In case the DIMM-PC type D520 is used to replace the older DIMM-PC type “386” then you have to replace resistor R577 (39K)
from the controller unit with the 36K resistor from the kit and solder the 68K resistor from t he kit on top of C56 9. See procedure
"Soldering the re sist ors upon the controller unit", page 11.
7. Install the new DIMM-PC upon the adapted controller unit. See procedure "Installing th
e DIMM-PC", page 11
8. Reinstall the controller unit into the ILite tile. See procedure "Installing the controller unit", page 12.
9. Reinstall the power assembly of the ILite tile. See procedure "Installing the power assembly", page 13.
10. Reinstall the back cover of the ILite tile. See procedure "Installing the cover", page 14.
3.2 Removin g the cover
It’s not necessary to remove the re-sync unit first. The re-sync unit
is attache d to the cover and comes off
with the cover.
Necessary tools
• Torx T20.
•7mmnutdriver.
How to remove the cover ?
1. Release the six screws (P) of the ILite cover (L), one in each corn
er and one u nder each handle.
