SET HOUSE ID IN THE TOUCHSCREEN
All wire le s s dev i ces insta l l ed in the same system must acquire the
same unique House ID befo re use.
1 . M a ke sure all dev i c es are insta l led and energized and all gro u p ,
house, and room bindings are co m p le te. Make sure that eve r y
other wire l e ss dev i ce LED is green and the MRDS10 status LED is
ye l low (amber).
2 . P re s s on any p rev i o u s ly bound d e v i c e until its LED a s h e s
amber (about 2 seco n d s ) .
3 . Verify that the LED on the MRDS10 starts flashing green. This
co n firm s that House ID m a t ches the other dev i ces in the house.
4 . Return to the same prev i o u s ly bound d ev i c e used in step 2 and
p re s s until its LED changes to solid green (about 2 seco n d s ) .
All dev i ce LEDs including the MRDS10 should now be solid gre e n .
BIND GROUPS
A group can be one dev i c e, or seve ral dev i ces anywhere in the house

other as a group. This will help you decide on a name for the
g roup, to be ente red as a label on the scre e n .
2 . Go to the first group and put one of the dev i ces into learn mode
( p re s s on the dev i ce until its LED starts blinking). All dev i c e s
that are curre n t l y included in this group blink amber.
3 . The screen displays a message “External Group Binding in
P ro g r e ss ...”. Read the message then pre ss OK. Notice the co l o r
of the scre e n ’s blinking LED. If it is green, it can be included in the
g roup. If it is amber, it is already included in the group where yo u
i n i t i a t ed the learn mode.
4 . When the GROUP SETUP 1-5 page appears, pre ss the ve r t i cal bar
a b o ve the GROUP number that you want to pro g ram (typica l l y yo u

include the to u c h s c reen in the current group. The screen LED
flashes amber to indica t e it is included in the gro u p .

If LED is solid green befo r e initiating house ID binding:
The dev i c e already has another house ID. Reset it to the

ID. Resetting to fa c t ory defaults is described in the “I need to
start over” iss u e .
If LED is solid amber after initiating house ID binding:
The dev i c e may be out of range of the initiating dev i c e. It may
be nece ssary to add a MRR2 Repeater if re c eption to a
particular area of the house is blo c k e d .
I need to start ove r.
You can reset any wire l e s s dev i c e EXCEPT the MRDS10 to
fa c tory default settings by pre ssing and holding until the
LED changes to solid amber (approx i m a te l y 10 seco n d s ) .

re co n fi g u red, ex a c t l y like any new dev i c e .
I need to set the MRDS10 To u c h s c r een to Fa c tory Defa u l t s
This will erase all binding, scene and labeling info r m a t i o n
