Setting User Preferences
EachusercanspecifyhowinformationdisplaysintheLab ManagerWebconsoleandwhentobenotified
aboutdeploymentandstorageleasesthatareabouttoexpire.Thesepreferencesareusedinalltheusers
organizations.UserswhologinwithanaccountcreatedinLab Managercanchangetheirpassword.
Set Display and Lease Alert Preferences
Youcansetdefaultdisplayandleasealertpreferences.
To set display and lease alert preferences
1ClickthePreferenceslink.
2ClicktheDefaultstab.
3 SelectthepagetodisplaywhenyoulogintotheWebconsole.
TheOverviewpageisthedefaultsetting.
4 DeselecttheShowPageHeadercheckboxtonotdisplayIPaddresses,virtualmachinedescriptions,
and
snapshotthumbnailsatthetopoftheeachpage.
Removingtheheadergivesyoumoreroomtoviewtheconsole.
5Typethenumberofrowstodisplayonpageswithdatainatable.
Themaximumnumberis500.Thedefaultis20.
6 Selectthenumberofdaysorhoursbeforea
deploymentleaseexpirationthatyouwantLab Managerto

Yournextstepsmightinvolveaddingmoreresourcestothesystem,settinguporganizationsandworkspaces,
andaddingusersandgroupsto
thoseorganizationsandworkspaces.
WhenLab Managerhasresourcesandusers,youcancreateorimportvirtualmachinetemplatestoserveas
thebasisforvirtualmachines.Usethesevirtualmachinetemplatestocreateconfigurationscomposedofone
ormorevirtualmachines.
Youcanworkwithaconfigurationanditsvirtualmachinesin
aworkspaceandsaveaconfigurationtothe
Librarytoshareitwithotherusers.
