Vallox MyVallox is a ventilation unit that can be used to even out the underpressure generated in an apartment by a cooker hood or a central vacuum cleaner. It can also be used to compensate for the fireplace mode. The unit has two digital inputs, D/I1 and D/I2, to which contact data from the cooker hood, central vacuum cleaner, or fireplace switch can be connected. The unit's programmable input can be set to adjust the supply and extract fan speeds based on the input data. This helps to maintain a comfortable indoor climate and prevent excessive pressure drops.

On/o status of the Allaway central vacuum cleaner

To enable compensation for both the cooker hood and

the central vacuum cleaner, the ﬁreplace mode must be

used for one of the functions, because the settings of the

programmable input are the same regardless of whether they

have been set for the digital input 1 or 2. It is most natural to

use the ﬁreplace mode for the compensation of the cooker

hood, because their settings can be the same. In such a case,

the possible separate ﬁreplace switch is connected next to

the contact data of the cooker hood.

Select Programmable input as the setting used for the

digital input 1. Set the eciency of the supply and extract

fans of the programmable input at the level required by the

compensation of the central vacuum cleaner. Select Fireplace

mode as the setting used for the digital input 2. Set the

eciency of the supply and extract fans of the ﬁreplace mode

MyVallox ventilation units can be used to even

out the underpressure that is generated in the

apartment by the cooker hood in connection to

the removal of cooking smells or by the central

vacuum cleaner. Please note that the extract

air ﬂow of an ecient cooker hood cannot be

fully compensated for with a ventilation unit.

Compensation requires contact data e.g. from the

damper of the cooker hood or cooker fan, from

the pressure switch of the extract duct, or from the

central vacuum cleaner. Contact data is led to the

digital input D/I1 or D/I2 of the ventilation unit.

Contact data that indicates the on/o status of the central vacuum cleaner is

led to the digital input D/I1 or D/I2 of the MyVallox ventilation unit.

The on/o status of the central vacuum cleaner as per unit model:

• X and Z series: integrated on/o status sensor. Wire connector

contacts AHU1 and AHU2.

• C series: integrated on/o status sensor. The on/o status sensor

output is equipped with the following sticker: Optional: to the

ventilation unit.

• Other Allaway models: external OI-1 on/o status sensor. Connectors

(A, B).

For the central vacuum cleaner, e.g.

• 51 MV supply 90%, extraction 40%

• 096 MV supply 70%, extraction 40%

• 101 MV supply 70%, extraction 40%

• 110 MV supply 60%, extraction 40%

• 145 MV supply 50%, extraction 40%

NOTE

Never use the

cooker fan, the

central vacuum

cleaner, and

the ﬁreplace

simultaneously.

For the cooker fan, e.g.

• supply 90%, extraction 40%

at the level required by the compensation of the cooker hood

and/or the ﬁreplace mode.

In both modes, principally increase the supply air ﬂow and

select a suitable supply air temperature. The lower the set

supply air temperature, the higher the supply air ﬂow that can

be maintained in sub-zero temperatures.
