It is important to inspect the bushings before beginning the installation and consider replacing them if necessary. The kit can be installed on one corner of the vehicle at a time, and it is important to ensure that the vehicle is supported by the frame so that the differential can be raised or lowered with a jack to assist in the installation.

The shackles are designed to work best without any modifications, but the holes may need to be cleaned out with a drill bit due to buildup from the powder coating or zinc plating process. If installing over factory rubber bushings, it is important not to spread the shackle to make it fit. Instead, the bushing can be shaved slightly or a putty knife with silicone spray lubricant can be used to work the shackle over the bushings. A plastic hammer should be used for persuasion, rather than a metal one.
