SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Our energy efficient pumps are simple and
convenient to use. Connect the pump to the tubing
with the appropriate outle
t then plug into a
grounded GFCI receptacle.
While operating, ensure the pump is completely
submersed to achieve proper water flow and to
prevent overheating of the pump.
To
reduce
risk
of
electric
shock:
●
Always
unplug
the
pump
from
the
electric
outlet
before
cleaning
and
handling.
●
Use
with
clean
water
only.
Pump has been
approved for use with water only
.
Never
let
the
pump
run
dry.
●
Pump
includes
grounded
conductor
and
plug;
pump must
be
connected
to
a
proper
ground
outlet
to
reduce
the
risk
of
electric
shock.
●
Do
not
use
the
pump
in
water
with temperatures
above
90 degrees Fahrenheit
or 30
degrees
Celsius.
●
Avoid connecting the power supply in a location
that water may drip into the electrical outlet. To
prevent this, always use a “drip loop” in the cord.
●
Do
not
lift, carry,
or
pull
the
pump
by
the
power
cord.
●
Do
not
attempt to modify, alter or
replace
the
pump
cord. If it sustains damage, discontinue use
immediately
To
clean
the
pump
Unplug
the
pump
from
the
electrical
outlet.
Use
a
small
soft
brush
or
water pressure to
remove any debris or build-up on the pump.
To
extend the life of your pump:
The water should be changed at first sight of
debris, microorganism build-up or discoloration
in the water. The water should be changed
regularly to
prevent
this occurrence.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If
the
pump
fails
to
operate
,
please
check the
following:
●
Check the circuit breaker, or try a different outlet
to
make
sure
that
the
pump
is
receiving
electrical
power
.
●
Disconnect the power supply and check the
pump discharge and tubing for kinks
and/or
obstructions that may prevent water flow.
●
Algae and microorganism
buildup
affecting
operation can be removed using a soft brush or
water or spray from a gar
den
hose.
●
In necessary, remove
the
pump
front
cover
&
plate
to
access
the
impeller.
Turn
the
rotor
to
ensure
it is
not
broken
or
jammed. Ensure the
pump is disconnected from the electrical supply
before inspecting the impeller.
If the pump is operating at a reduced capacity:
●
Check
the
water
level
to
make
sure
the
pump
is
completely
submerged and verify that there are
no kinks or obstructions to the water flow.
If
the pump is making an
abnormal
noise:
●
First
disconnect
the
power
supply
and
remove
the
pump
front
cover
and
plate. Gently
pull
the
impeller/rotor
assembly
out
of
the
pump
housing.
Rinse the impeller/rotor assembly and the
cavity
with
clean
water
.
If
breakage
or
surface
damage
is
found
on
the
assembly,
contact
your
distributor
for
replacement part
.
