Antenna&AttenuatorConnection
AnRx/Txantennaisrequiredforbasicoperation.Assembleantennaand
connectorsasshownintheaccompanyingfigure.Antennaandconnectorsare
soldseparately.
Note:Itisimportanttouseattenuationbetweenalldemounitsinthetestnetworkto
reducetheamountofsignalstrengthinthetestenvironment.

AccessingtheViperSC+WebServer
TheViperSC+BaseStationisconfiguredviaaWeb‐browserinterfaceandcontainsa
DHCPserverwhichwillautomaticallyassignanIPaddresstoyourPC,howeverinsome
casesitmaybenecessarytochangethenetworksettingsonthePCtoaccepttheIP
addressassignedbythe
ViperDHCPserver.
Step1 EnableanetworkconnectionwiththefollowingLANsettings.IntheInternet
Protocol(TCP/IP)Propertieswindow,selectObtainanIPaddressautomaticallyand
ObtainDNSserveraddressautomatically.ClickOKandclose.
Step2 OpenaWebbrowserandenter192.168.205.254intheAddressbar.
Whenthe
connectionLoginwindowappears,entertheUsername:adminandthePassword:
ADMINISTRATOR(bothadminandADMINISTRATORarecase‐sensitive)andclickOK.
ViperSC+WebInterfaceandSetupWizard
OnceyouhaveloggedinyouwillseetheHomepageoftheViperWebInterfaceasshown
inthefollowingfigure.Arrangedverticallyontheleftsideisthemainnavigationmenu.
Forquicksetup,selectSetupWizard(beneathHome)fromthemainmenu(alongtheleft
ofthepage).ThefirstpageoftheViperSC+SetupWizardisdisplayed.
TheSetupWizardconsistsoffour(4)steps.Eachstepispresentedasasinglepagewitha
fewsimpleoptions
tofillinorselectfrom.Eachofthefourpagesforeachstepofthe
SetupWizardcontainthebasicconfigurationsettingsthataremostcommonlyrequired
toselectorchangetosetuptheViperSC+BaseStationforspecificfunctionality.Read

Note:ARedundantBaseStationcontainstwointernalViperradios.The
purposeoftheredundancyissothatifanerrorisdetectedintheprimary
radio,theBaseStationControllerautomaticallyswitchestothebackupradio.
For
thisreason,bothinternalViperradiosmustbeconfiguredwiththesame
settings.SelectRadioAandSelectRadioBbuttonsallowyoutomanually
selectwhichradioiscurrentlytheprimary(active)radio.
