To use the InPen™ Smart Insulin pen system, you will need a compatible device and operating

system (OS), as listed below.

InPenTM app Compatibility – minimum requirements

The app is compatible with devices that meet these requirements

Apple devices

▪ Devices with iOS 12 and higher

Android devices

▪ Devices with Android Operating System 8.0 and

greater

▪ Devices with screen resolution 720×1280 pixels and

greater

Unsupported devices

▪ Any version of the LG Stylo device

▪ Bluetooth® performance varies due to differences in

phone hardware and operating systems. The InPen

app is not recommended on jailbroken devices

▪ Tablets or phablets

FAQs

Q1. How can I determine if my Android phone is compatible?

On your Android device, visit Google Play Store. If the InPen app is visible in the Play Store,

install it. If the InPen app is not visible in the Play Store, the device does not meet minimum

requirements to install the app. Once app is installed, Open the InPen App. Upon opening the

app, it will check to make sure the screen resolution meets minimum requirements. If you are

presented with a login screen, the app is ready for use.

Q2. Why do the GuardianTM app and the InPenTM app support different devices and operating

systems?

The GuardianTM app and the InPenTM app have a different approach to compatibility and use

different technology protocols, therefore compatibility is different between the two mobile

apps.
