This secon explains how to use the GS2-24 to cut material that has been printed with a printer.
The procedure explained here uses [Queue A] for the job queue folder as an example. When using
a dierent folder, replace [Queue A] with the other one in this procedure.
Flatbed-type UV printers do not support prinng followed by cung.
1. Print with crop marks.
Add the crop marks for aligning the posions, and then perform just prinng.
IMPORTANT
• Before prinng, ensure that the margins are as follows.
¾Margins from le and right edges of the material to the crop marks: 10 mm (0.4 in.) or more
¾Margin from leading edge of the material to the crop marks: 20 mm (0.79 in.) or more
¾Margin from trailing edge of the material to the crop marks: 50 mm (1.97 in.) or more
• When using the pinch rollers in the range of the lemost grit paern, ensure that the distance
from the le edge of the le grit paern to the crop marks is at least 30 mm (1.19 in.). Crop marks
cannot be read if the distance is less than 30 mm (1.19 in.).
A Click on the [Queue A] tab of the printer to use.
The [Queue A Properes] window appears.
B Click .
C Select the [Crop Marks (Print&Cut Alignment)] check box.
D Click .
E Select [Print Only] from the [Operaon Mode] list box.
F Click [OK].
IMPORTANT
If the source data for the job is an EPS le and a cung line has been drawn around the border,
congure the sengs shown below before adding the job to the job list. If you do not congure
these sengs, a part of the border may not be cut.

On the [Queue Properes] window, click .

Enter a value of 0.35 mm (13.8 mil) or more for [Margin] under [EPS].
• If you enter a value less than 0.35 mm (13.8 mil), no margin will be added.
• If you congure the zoom in/zoom out sengs on the [Queue Properes] or [Job
Sengs] window, the margin will also be zoomed in on/zoomed out from. When
you add a job to the job list, a margin with the width set with [Margin] is auto-
macally added within the range specied by the border.
G Click [File] - [Add Job to Queue] - [Queue A].
The [Open] window is displayed.
