4 Mounting Guide
1 Product description
DA 10K tunnel inlet is used as an air inlet in houses with Tunnel ventilation or Combi-Tunnel ventilation.
The tunnel inlet can be mounted directly in interior walls or exterior walls.
The tunnel inlet can be turned so that the inlet flaps open downwards or upwards.
The tunnel inlet is available both with high-insulated inlet flaps made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) with insula-
tion and with semi-insulated inlet flaps made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride).
The inlet is delivered with the inlet flaps installed. Regulation set is installed on-site.
Opening range into the house is 370 mm.

433707 DA 10K tunnel inlet, highly insulated
DA 10K tunnel inlet with high insulating property is used for mounting on a
wall where insulation is required.
The mounting parts are used for assembling the tunnel inlet.
433708 DA 10K tunnel inlet, semi-insulated
DA 10K is used for mounting in walls with a minimum outside temperature
over 5°C and where insulation is not necessary.
The mounting parts are used for assembling the tunnel inlet.

433713 DA 10K tunnel inlet, transparent
DA 10K transparent is used for installation in walls where insulation is not
necessary.
DA 10K transparent can be used in areas where it is desirable for both an
inlet feature and light in the livestock house.
The mounting parts are used for assembling the tunnel inlet.
433710 Wall inlet bracket for pull rod
The bracket is used when the tunnel inlet is mounted inside the house, and
a pulling system above the inlet is requested, contrary to the normal posi-
tion below the inlet.
2 per inlet.
433711 Tunnel inlet, support bracket
The bracket is used when the tunnel inlet is mounted inside the house, and
a pulling system above the inlet is requested, contrary to the normal posi-
tion below the inlet.

433719 DA 10K insulation plate
The plate is used to minimize draft and heat loss during cold periods, when
DA 10K is not in use.
The plate should always be used if the dimensioned outside temperature is
less than -10°C.
Supplied with mounting set and mounting guide.

3.2 Wall inlet positioning
The positioning of the inlet in a wall depends on the layout of the building and the house layout. The positioning
may therefore only be made according to directions communicated by SKOV A/S or representatives of the com-
pany.
3.3 Mounting of tunnel inlet
3.3.1 Preparing hole in wall
Mark out the correct number of holes according to mea-
surements.
Remember always to use a spirit level.
DA 10K Tunnel Inlet
10 Mounting Guide
Make diagonal measurement.
Cut the holes.
DA 10K Tunnel Inlet
Mounting Guide 11
3.3.2 Mounting in wall
Ensure that the inlet is placed in the middle of the hole.
Use wedges to center the inlet in the hole.
Avoid pushing the inlet into place during mounting.
Make sure that the inlet flaps close tightly.
Predrill the holes according to the instructions be-
low
Use a spirit level to ensure that the inlet has a correct
position.
Screw screws into the predrilled holes and mount the in-
let on the wall.
Center mark or 2 mm hole when mounting in a sandwich
panel. Material thickness ≤ 1mm.
4 mm hole when mounting in steel profiles. Material
thickness >1mm ≤ 2mm.
4.5 mm hole when mounting in steel profiles. Material
thickness >2 mm ≤ 4 mm.
Recommended screw: Tapping screw 4.8x70 A2.
Recommended tightening: 5.1 Nm.
Please make sure not to over-tighten the screws as they
are tightened directly against plastic.
Make sure that the internal dimensions are still accord-
ing to the drawing.
DA 10K Tunnel Inlet
12 Mounting Guide
3.3.3 Check the tightness
Press the inlet flaps at both ends.
No gaps = ok.
If there is a gap, use wedges to straighten the frame.
If necessary, use wedges from stacking blocks.
Break off the wedge.
DA 10K Tunnel Inlet
Mounting Guide 13
Loosen the screws and insert wedges behind the inlet
frame until all flaps close tightly.
Retighten the screws.
Check that there are no gaps after attachment, on both
sides, of all inlet flaps.
If there are only gaps with 1 flap it may be because the
flap is twisted.
The flap is corrected by twisting the flap in the opposite
direction.

3.3.4 Foaming
The excess part of the wedges should be removed before foaming.
Wet the faces with water from a mist sprayer before proceeding with the foaming.
Use a one-component Polyurethane foam to seal the joint around the inlet.
A. Foam the entire depth of the inlet in the corners and approx. 100 mm to each side of the corners.
B. On the middle part of the inlet, it is important to foam the edge only, as the foam may otherwise cause the in-
let to warp.

3.3.5 Jointing
For pointing a 1-component elastic joint sealer free of solvents must be used.
C. Apply a sealing edge of joint sealer between the inlet and the wall – both on the inside and the outside.
