• Specify the port in use at point ‘Step 1’ (in this case, it is the port COM3) and
specify the location of the firmware to use at point ‘Step 3’ (in this case, we advise
to use the ‘Browse’ key to select it). If, during firmware installation, a different root
had not been specified, the file will be located within the structure
‘C:\TELECO\MagicSat Easy\Firmware’.
• Switch off MagicSat Easy/Flat Sat Easy and wait for your computer to notify
removal of the USB peripheral unit (notification is done via a sound tone of the ‘bi-
bo’ type).
• Press the little black button provided on the back of the MagicSat Easy/Flat Sat
Easy ControlBox next to the power input connector, and hold it down while
switching the system back on. Wait for USB peripheral acknowledgement (notified
by a ‘bo-bi’ type sound), then press the START key (Step 5) of the FlashMagic
software. Once the programming sequence has started (special messages will be
displayed in the bottom part of the program status bar), the little black button can be
released.
• At the end of the firmware updating procedure (indicated by the ‘finish’ message
displayed in the bottom part of the status bar), switch the MagicSat Easy/Flat Sat
Easy off, disconnect all the connections and shut down all active programs.
• Your MagicSat Easy/Flat Sat Easy has now been updated.
