Programming

Step 1.Removethesirenfrontcover.

Step 2.MakesuretheDipSwitch#4issettothe

OFFposition.Alsosetthepowerswitchofthesiren

totheONposition.

Step 3.LogintotheControlPanel’sEngineering

menu.Select“ZoneSettings”->“ZoneCong”->

“AddZone”.PressOKandtheLCDoftheControl

Panelwilldisplay“*Pushbuttonon*Devicetoadd”.

Step 4.Press&holdthesiren’sLearnbuttonfor1

second.Thesirenwillbeeponce,withtheLED#1

(Left)andLED#3(Right)ashingoncetoindicate

the“learnsignal”hasbeentransmitted.

NOTE

ToexitLearnMode:PresstheLearnbuttonagain,

or,Sirenwillautomaticallyexitafter3minutes

(time-out).ThesirenwillbeeponceandtheLED#2

(Middle)willashoncetoindicatethishadtaken

place.

Step 5.Ifsuccessfullyreceived,theControlPanel

willdisplay“Detected(OK?)”.PressOKtoconrm

thelearning.Thecontrolpanelwillnowsendalearn

acknowledgementtothesiren.

Step 6.OncethesirenreceivestheLearn

acknowledgementfromtheControlPanel,itwill

emitashortbeepwithLED#2ashingonceto

indicatethatthesirenhasbeensuccessfullyadded

intothesystem.Youcannowproceedtosetup

parametersforthesiren(Pleasewaitforatleast7

secondsbeforeproceeding).

Step 7. Toprogramsirenparameters,pressthe

“Return”buttonontheControlPaneltoreturnto

theroot.Select“ZoneSettings”->“ZoneCong”->

“EditExt.Siren”option.

The following settings are applied to all sirens in

the system:

“Siren Length”

Press ▲or▼toincreaseordecreasethesiren

lengthfromDisableor1to30minutes(at1minute

increments).PressOKtoselect,thesirenwillbeep

oncetoindicateconrmation.

“Siren Offset”

AdjustthelengthofSilentDelayonsirenringing

afteranalarmeventisdetected.Thisallowsthe

controlpaneltoreporttheeventinsilencevia

telephonepriortoaloudalarmevent.Press▲

or▼toincreaseordecreasethesirendelaytime

fromDisableor10to60seconds(at10second

increments).

“Conﬁrm Sound”

Notifyusersofthesystemstatusviasirenbeeps.One

beepforarmandtwobeepsfordisarm.SelectEnable

orDisabletoenableordisablethisfunction.

“Entry Sound”

Notifyusersoftheentrycountdownviasirenbeeps.

SelectEnableorDisabletoenableordisablethis

function.

“Siren Tamper”

Oncethetamperprotectionisdisabled,thesirenwill

automaticallyreverttoenableafteranhour(ifuserhas

notalreadyenableditmanually).

“Comfort LED”

Controlthesiren’sLEDashintervalduringnon-

alarmmode.Press▲or▼toincreaseordecrease

theashintervaltimefromDisableor5,10to60

seconds(at10secondsincrements).Pleasenotethat

enablingthisfeaturewilldecreasethesiren’sbattery

life.

Step 8:Tondthebestinstallationlocationforthe

sirenyouwillneedtousethe“walktest”option.

Accessthisoptionfrom“Testing”->“WalkTest”.

Step 9:Holdthesireninthedesiredlocation,press

theTest/Learnbuttontoconrmifthislocationis

withinradiosignalrangeoftheControlPanel.The

RSSIsignalstrengthvaluewillbedisplayedonthe

controlpanel,rangingfrom0~9(9indicatesthebest

signalstrengthperformance).Donotinstallsireninan

areawheretheRSSIvalueislessthan5.

Step 10.Keeppressingthe“Return”keytoexit

programmingmenuinthecontrolpanel.TheLEDswill

ash2fullcyclestoindicatethattheuserhasexited

theprogrammingmenusuccessfullyandthatthe

systemisinStandbymode.

Step 11.Theparametersareallsetandthesirenis

readytobemounted.

Mounting

Therearetwotamperspringsonthesiren(please

seeimageontherstpageforTamperlocation).Ifthe

sirenispulledofffromthewalland/orseparatingits

front&backcover,thealarmwillbeactivated.Please

ensureitisfullydepressedwhenthesirenismounted.

Step 1.Disablethesirentamperusingthecontrol

panel.Select“ZoneSettings”->“ZoneCong“->

“EditExt.Siren”->“SirenTamper”.Thisoptionneeds

tobedisabled.

Step 2.Removethesirencover.Usingthescrews

andwallplugsprovided,mountthebaseunitonthe

wallthroughthe4xmountingholes.Carefullyalign

theholeswhendrilling.

Step 3.EnsurethePowerSwitchisswitchedto

theONposition.Replacethesirencover.

Step 4.Enablethesirentamperusingthecontrol

panel.Select“ZoneSettings”->“ZoneCong“

->“EditExt.Siren”->“SirenTamper”.Thisoption

needstobeenabled.

Step 5. Testthesirenbyarminganddisarming

withtheControlPanel.Ifthereare5xsirenbeeps

and3xLEDasheswhilearming,thetamper

spring(s)arenotdepressedproperly.Youmayneed

todisablethesirentamper(Step1)andphysically

adjustthesirenmountingposition.Otherwisethe

installationisnowcompleted.

Operation

Siren Reset

Step 1:SlidethePowerSwitchtoOFFposition.

Step 2:SlideDipSwitch#1toON(rIGHT)

positionthenturnthepowerswitchon.

Step 3:TheLEDswillashfor1cycle.

Step 4:SlidedipSW1backtoOFF(left)

positiontoreturntonormalmode.

Previousalarmwarning

Iftherehasbeenanalarmwhileyouwereaway,

thesirenwillsoundandashfor3seconds

whenthesystemisdisarmed.Pleasebeaware

thattheintrudercouldstillbeinthepremises.

Audio & Visual Status Indication

Siren Audio Strobe light

Arm/Home 1 beep * 3 LED ﬂashes at once

Disarm 2 beeps * Flashes for 1 cycle

Arm (Low Battery) 5 beeps 3 LED ﬂashes for three

times

Disarm (Low Battery) 5 beeps

Sequentially ﬂashes for 2 cycles

Arm (Tamper) 5 beeps 3 LED ﬂashes for three

times

Disarm (Tamper) 2 beeps * Flashes for 2 cycles

* The Siren Audio indication will be affected by the Conﬁrm

Sound. Setting Conﬁrmation to OFF will disable the

conﬁrmation sound.

Siren Audible Performance

Thesirenproducesaminimumof105dBA

soundpressureat1metre.Thesirenduration

dependsontheparameterintheControlPanel.

Burglar/Emergency/TamperAlarm-thesiren

givesacontinuousalarmsoundwithsequential

ashesuntilthepresetsirenlengthcomestoa

stop(default:3minutes).

Firealarm-thesirengivesacontinuousalarm

sound(2-secondonand1-secondoff)with

sequentialashesuntilthepresetsirenlength

(default:3minutes).

Atlowbatterycondition,beepingoccurs

irregularly.

Thesirenissilencedwheneitherthe

programmedsirendurationexpiresorwhenthe

userdisarmthesystem.

Changing Batteries

TheSirenispoweredby4xD-cellAlkaline

batterieswithalifeexpectancyofover3years

duringnormaloperationorbyanoptionalDC

adaptor12V1A.

Inthecentrethereisapowerswitchtoisolate

thebatterycompartment.

Underlowbatteryconditionthesirenwillbeep

5timesduringarminganddisarming.This

indicatesthatthesirenhasenoughpowerto

operateforabout1month.Pleasereplacethe

batteriesimmediately.Thereisnolowbattery

conditionifaDCpoweradaptorisused.

Step 1:Disablethesirentamperasfollows:

Select“ZoneSettings”->“ZoneCong“->

“EditExt.Siren”->“SirenTamper”.

Step 2:Openthesirencover.Slidethepower

switchtoOFFposition.

Step 3. Thebatterycompartmentisalarge

boxinthesirenwithalidsecuredby4screws.

Removetheoldbatteriesandthenpressthe

LearnButtonfor1~2secondstodischarge.

Step 4:Insert4xnewDcellalkalinebatteries

observingthepolarity.Thesirenwillbeepand

ashwhenthelastbatteryisinserted.

Step 5:Replacethebatterycompartmentlid

andthesirencover.

Step 6:Enablethesirentamperasfollows:

“EditExt.Siren”->“SirenTamper”.
