Powered External Siren
ACPBX
The Yale Sync Powered External Siren will operate via AC mains or with battery.
AC Power
When the Yale Powered External Siren is connected to the mains via the DC input, the battery will disable
and the battery switch will have no function.
Battery and low battery detection
The Yale Powered External Siren can be powered by 4 x D-cell Alkaline batteries. On the right hand side of
the PC board, there is a battery switch to turn the power ON or OFF.
When changing battery: after removing the old battery, please press the Tamper Switch twice to fully
discharge before inserting new battery.
Low Battery Detection:
1. When low battery is detected, a Low Battery signal will be sent to the Control Panel to notify the user.
2. If AC power is used, ACPBX low battery state won’t be notified.
