PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important

notes above. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and

completelyremovetheoldxturefromtheceiling,includingthe

CONNECTING THE WIRES

Haveanassistantsupportthexture’sweightwhilecompleting

thewiring.Cutawayexcesswire.Threadthexture’swires

throughcanopyloopandnipple.Attachthexture’swiresto

thepowersupplywiresfromthejunctionbox.Connectblack

to smooth/black/transparent (L) wire; white to ribbed/white/

transparent(N)wire;groundtoground(greenorcopper).Twist

theendsofthewirepairstogether,andthentwistonawire

connector. Make sure all twists are in the same direction. If there

isnogroundwire(greenorcopper)fromthejunctionbox,locate

Unscrewscrews(L).Removediffuserandmetalring(KandM).

Avoidtouchingtheinsulationwithyourbarehands.Raisethetop

ofceilingpan(G)tomountingstrap(B).Positionnipple(F)sothat

itprotrudesthroughthecenterofceilingpan(G).Securexture

(G)tomountingstrap(A)bythreadingdecorativenut(H)onto

nipple(F).Tightensecurely.

Pushshade(I)uptoceilingpan(G).Twistscrew(A)intoceiling

pan(G).Secureinplacebytwistingshade(I)sothatthekey

holelocksontoscrew(A).Installlightbulbs(notprovided)in

accordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthe

Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the

xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.
