yourself with the device before putting it into

following operating instructions and safety
information carefully. Only use the device as
described and for the purpose for which it
was intended. Keep this operating instruction
manual in a safe place. Hand over all the
documents with the device if it is transferred
to third-parties.
General Function
The programmable radiator thermostat
RT2000, with its pre-programmed and indi-
vidually adjustable heating and energy-sav-
ing times, enables you to regulate the room
temperatureaccordingtodenedtimes.The
device moves a valve which controls the

heatowtotheradiator.Theprogramma-
bleRT2000radiatorthermostattsonall
common radiator valves and is easy to in-
stall – there is no necessity to drain heating
water or interfere with the heating system.
Intended Use
The programmable radiator thermostat
RT2000, subsequently referred to as "de-
vice", serves to regulate a common radiator
valve. The device may only be operated
indoors. Any use other than that described
in this operating manual is considered un-
intended use and results in loss of rights
related to the terms of guarantee and ex-
emption of liability. This also applies to any
reconstructionandmodication.Thedevice
is exclusively intended for private use.

On pressing the

button, a menu opens

can be selected by means of the adjusting
wheel. Press the

option and use the adjusting wheel to mod-
ify the corresponding parameters. Press the

Do not open the device; it does not
contain any parts which can be
serviced by the user. In the event of
any faults, send the device to the Service
Department.
This device can be used by children
from the age of 8 and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowl-
edge when they are under supervision or
have received instruction regarding safe use
of the device and any risks involved in
respect of its use. Children must not play with
the device. The device must not be cleaned
or serviced by children without appropriate
supervision.
Safety Information on
Batteries
Never attempt to recharge
non-rechargeable batteries and do

not short circuit or open them. This could
resultintheriskofoverheating,reor
bursting.Neverthrowbatteriesinareor
water. The batteries could explode.
Leaking batteries could damage the
device. Be particularly careful when
handling damaged or leaking
batteries and wear protective gloves. Switch
thedeviceowhenitisnotinusetosave
the batteries. Remove the batteries if the
device will be out of use for a longer period.
Inserting/Changing the
Batteries
Remove the battery compartment cover.
Insert the batteries (2 x AA mignon) in the
battery compartment, ensuring correct po-
larity (pay attention to the marking in the
battery compartment).

Risk of damage to the device through reverse
poling when inserting the batteries.
Pay attention the batteries are correctly aligned
when inserted.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
The service life of new batteries is approx.
1 year. The battery icon appears when
the batteries need to be changed.

batteries to operate the device.

CAUTION!
Risk of burns through hot radiator valve!
Contact could lead to hands being burned.
Allow the radiator to cool down before complet-
ing any assembly, disassembly or repair work
on the device!
Wear work gloves!
Assembly of the programmable radiator
thermostat is easy and can be completed
without the need to drain any heating wa-
ter or work on the heating system. It is not
necessary to use any special tools or switch
otheheatingsystem.Thecouplingring
contained with the material supplied can be
useduniversallyandwithoutanyttingsfor
all valves with thread size M30 x 1.5 mm
from the most common manufacturers, such
as

Using the applicable adapter contained with
the material supplied, the programmable
radiator thermostat can be installed on Dan-
foss RA, Danfoss RAV and Danfoss RAVL
valves.
Disassembling the Old
Thermostat Head
Turn the thermostat head to its highest set-
t i n g (11) .
The thermostat head now no longer presses
on the valve spindle and is easier to disas-

semble (see Fig. 1).
Releasethexationofthethermostathead
(12) and remove the thermostat head (12).
Adapters for Danfoss
During assembly, be careful not to
jamyourngersbetweenthehalves
of the adapter!
One of the adapters contained in the mate-
rial supplied is required in order to assemble
the thermostat on Danfoss valves. Please re-
fertothegures(2-4)fortheassignmentof
the adapter ring to the corresponding valve.
The bodies of the valves from Danfoss are
provided with longitudinal grooves (13)
around the circumference which ensure a
moresecuretoftheadapterafterbeing
latched on.
NOTE: During assembly, please
pay attention that the spigots inside

the adapter (14) are aligned to the
grooves (13) in the valve.
Then slide the corresponding adapter on
the valve until it latches into place.
The RA and RAV adapters are produced to
have a pretension in order to provide a bet-
tert.Ifnecessary,useascrewdriverduring
assembly in order to open the corresponding
adapter a little in the area of the screw.
Afterttingtherelevantadapteronthe
valvebody,xtheadapterinplaceusing
the relevant screw and nut supplied (see
Fig. 2, 3).
Fixthevalveadapterrmly.
In the case of RAV valves, the plunger exten-
sion(15)mustbetonthevalvepin(seeFig.
2) prior to assembly.
Fit the device on the valve or adapter.
The device latches audibly
