Thestandassistliftcanbeusedtotransferandposition

partiallyimmobileweight-bearingpatients.

1.3Contraindications

Thestandassistliftiscontraindicatedforpatientswho:

•arenotcooperative

•arenotcoherent

•donothaveheadandneckcontrol

Someslingsdesignedforthestandassistliftare

contraindicatedforpatientswhocannotsupportthemajority

oftheirweight.Refertotheslingusermanualformore

information.

1.4TechnicalDescription

Standassistliftsaretransferdevicesdesignedtobeusedin

mostofthecommonliftingsituations,forexample:

•Betweenthebedandthewheelchair

•Toandfromthetoilet

•Rehabilitation,assistingapatientfromaseatedposition

toastandingposition

Thestandassistliftisonlyintendedtoliftpatientsuptothe

maximumweightlimitstatedinTechnicalData.

Selectingtheappropriateslingsandaccessoriesforeach

individualisimportanttoassuresafetywhenusingastand

assistlift.SeeInvacare’sslingandaccessoryusermanuals

forfurtherinformationonthosedevices.

patient,otherwisethepatientcanslideoutof

theslingduringtransferpossiblycausinginjury.

TransferStandAssistSling

–Beforeliftingthepatient,makesurethe

bottomedgeofthetransferslingisatthebase

ofthespineandthepatient’sarmsareoutside

thetransfersling.

–DONOTraisethepatienttoafullstanding

positionwhileusingthetransfersling,

2.PutthexblockCinplaceonthekneepadmounting

bracket.

3.InsertthequickreleaseknobDthroughthemounting

bracket,kneepadandxblock.

4.Tightenthequickreleaseknob.

5.Toadjustthekneepad,refertoAdjustingtheKneePad

HeightintheMaintenancesectionofthemanual.

1.RotatethefootplateAupandplacethehooks

attachedtothefootplateontothetopmountingbolts

BinthemastassemblyC.

2.Rotatethefootplatedowntowardsthebaseassembly.

Thebottomofthefootplatewillrestagainstthe

bottomboltsDonthemastassembly.

3.Ensurethatthefootplateislevelandsecure.
