GENERAL
This is a high quality replacement SnapDrive
, that is
designed to give many years of reliable service when used
properly. Proper line voltage, frequency, lamp, mounting,
and environment are necessary. Each SnapDrive is tested
for proper operation before shipment. Care should be
taken when mounting and connecting the SnapDrive, and
should be performed only by qualified personnel.
UNPACKING
This SnapDrive has been properly packed so that no
parts should have been damaged during transit. Inspect to
confirm.
INSTALLATION
The faulty SnapDrive should be removed first. This is
accomplished by disconnecting all plugs that have wires
going to other parts of the fixtures. First disconnect the
power harness and then if applicable, disconnect switch
quartz and bi-level plugs. Jumper plugs are not required to
be removed. Then, release latch at one end of the unit, in
most cases no screws are to be loosened for this process.
Unit can now be removed.
Note: If unit is direct mounted with screws (3) the
above procedure is correct except for latching.
Instead, loosen then tighten the 3 screws holding
the SnapDrive in the luminaire. Reinstallation is
accomplished by orienting new SnapDrive in same
direction and by retightening screws.
Check to ensure new SnapDrive is the correct type.
To install the new SnapDrive, hook keyholes on mount-
ing tabs and push other end into spring latch. A positive
‘click’ sound indicates proper engagement. Place jumper
plugs in proper positions – voltage, wattage and switch
quartz as required.
Note: Failure to place jumpers in proper position
can destroy new Snap Drive Electrical System and
other accessories. Proper voltage positions are
indicated on the circuit board and in the Wiring
Diagram attached to each Snap Drive.
Reconnect main power plug. Close fixture.
