access.
2.5.1.3 Clock mode
The Device Clock modes have Internal Clock, IO Clock, G703, E1A1E1A8 Recovery
Clock.
2.5.1.4 E1 Backup
There are two types of E1 Backup: Line Card backup and E1 Channel backup. E1A and
E1B are line card backup. E1A line card provides E1 channel backup. Users can select
E1 backup from E1 backup mode in the device:
1. Disable Disable channel backup mode
2. Double Tx/Rx Channel backup Double Tx/Rx mode. E1A slot channel
symmetry provides channel backup. Take 8E1 card in E1A slot for example. If
users select Double Tx/Rx mode, then E1A1 and E1A5 backup each other,
E1A2 and E1A6 backup each other, E1A3 and E1A7 backup each other and
E1A4 and E1A8 backup each other.
2.5.1.5 Network Timeslot
Network Timeslot is used to transmit network management data. The transmit
direction of each level device can be configured as UP or DOWN. Network Timeslot
can use any unused timeslot for data transmission. It is suggested that using the
same Timeslot number. For Example, using TS31.
UPUploadNetwork information channel can only be configured in E1A1 mode.
After setting up Network Timeslot, the message window below will pop up:
