For openings that are 60 inches in length along the house,
both the L6 or XL6 Models will work.
However, please note that the L6 will be at it’s maximum
width and therefore will ex more versus the XL6 that will
be much more rigid as 60 inches is it’s minimum width. For
this reason we recommend the XL6 for higher trafc areas.
60” LENGTH ALONG THE HOUSE?
MODEL L6:
Without the Optional Security Kit installed, the Adjust-A-
Grate is simply resting on the window well. It is not locked
down and it is not attached to the well. This is all that is
needed to prevent someone from falling in the basement
window well.
The Optional Security Kit with Quick Release allows the
grate to be locked in place to deter outside entry, but still
allows quick emergency exit from inside the home.

ADDITIONAL SECURITY?
Adjust-A-Grate window well covers are designed to offer you a custom fit without
the custom price. Each loop on the grate moves independently allowing the grate
to adjust side to side to perfectly conform to a variety of well sizes and contours
(see images below).
The grate does not adjust front to back, the range given for the projection out
from the house for each model is simply the acceptable range for that model of
grate.
If your measurement is near the lower end of the range you will have a smaller
gap at the back of the grate, against the house. If your measurement is near
the higher end of the range you will have a larger gap at the back of the grate,
between the grate and the house.
