quicksuccession.Iftheinformationismissedonthefirsttry,simplypresstheSETbuttonagain
untilallofthe
informationisnoted.
AccessingtheSetupmode
1. PressandholdtheSETbuttonforatleast1.5secondstoaccesstheSetupmenu.
2. PresstheSETbuttonmomentarilytostepthroughtheavailableparameters.Theparameter
typeisshownonthebottomoftheLCDandthecurrentselectionforthattypeisshown
aboveit.
3. Whenaparameterisdisplayedthatistobechanged,usethearrowkeystochangethe
setting.PresstheENTERbuttontoconfirmachange.
4. PressandholdtheSETbuttonforatleast1.5secondstoexittheSetupmode.Notethatthe

Ifthemeter’skeysbecomeinoperableorifthedisplayfreezestheResetbuttoncanbeusedto
resettheinstrument.
Useapapercliporsimilaritemtomomentarilypresstheresetbuttonlocatedonthelower
rightsideoftheinstrumentunderthesnapoffcompartmentcover.
AfterpressingtheResetbutton,switchtheinstrumentONbypressingandholdingthe
POWERkeyforatleast1.5seconds.Ifusingthepoweradaptorunplugtheadaptorandthen
plugitbackinagaintopowerthemeter.
MaxMinReadingRecord
Foragivenmeasurementsession,thismetercanrecordthehighest(MAX)andthelowest(MIN)
readingsforlaterrecall.
1. PresstheMAXMINbuttonmomentarilytoaccessthismodeofoperation(RECicon
appears)
2. ThemeterisnowrecordingtheMAXandMINreadings.
3. PresstheMAX
MINbuttonagaintoviewthecurrentMAXreadings(MAXiconappears).
ThereadingsonthedisplayarenowthehighestreadingsencounteredsincetheRECicon
wasswitchedon(whentheMAXMINbuttonwasfirstpressed).
4. PresstheMAXMINbuttonagaintoviewthecurrentMINreadings(MINiconappears).The
readingsonthedisplayarenowthelowestreadingsencounteredsincetheRECiconwas
switchedon(whentheMAXMINbuttonwasfirstpressed).
5. ToexittheMAXMINmode,pressandholdtheMAXMINbuttonforatleast1.5seconds.
Themeter
willbeep,theRECMAXMINiconswillswitchoff,theMAXMINmemorywill
clear,andthemeterwillreturntothenormaloperatingmode.

ConnecttubingtotheP1(+),P2(),orbothinputport(s).Ifbothinputsareused(differential
mode),themeterdisplaysapositivepressurereadingiftheP1(+)pressureisgreaterthanP2()

ManualDatalogging:Manuallylogupto99readingsontoanSDcardviapushbuttonpress.
AutomaticDatalogging:AutomaticallylogdataontoanSDmemorycardwherethenumber
ofdatapointsisvirtuallylimitedonlybythecardsize.Readingsareloggedataratespecified
bytheuser.
SDCardInformation
InsertanSDcard(from1Gsizeupto16G)intotheSDcardslotatthebottomofthemeter.
Thecardmustbeinsertedwiththefrontofthecard(labelside)facingtowardtherearofthe
meter.
IftheSDcardisbeingusedforthefirsttimeitisrecommendedthatthecardbeformatted
andthelogger’sclocksettoallowforaccuratedate/timestampingduringdatalogging

appearontheLCD;thelowerportionofthedisplaywillshowpn(n=memoryposition
number199).NotethatifPSIissetastheunitofmeasureitappearsasP51(wherea‘5’is
usedasan‘S’)inthesameareaoftheLCDwherememorylocationsareshown.Thiscanbe
disorientingatfirst.
3. MomentarilypresstheLOGbuttontostoreareading.TheDATALOGGERiconwillflashand
thebeeperwillsound(ifsettoON)eachtimeadatapointisstored.
4. Usetheandbuttons
toselectoneofthe99datamemorypositionsinwhichtorecord.
5. Toexitthemanualdataloggingmode,pressandholdtheLOGbuttonforatleast1.5
seconds.TheDATALOGGERiconwillswitchoff.
AutomaticDatalogging
Inautomaticdataloggingmodethemetertakesandstoresareadingatauserspecifiedsampling
rateontoanSDmemorycard.Themeterdefaultstoasamplingrateoftwoseconds.Tochange
thesamplingrate,refertotheSetupModesection(thesamplingratecannotbe‘0’for
automaticdatalogging):
1. SelectthesamplingrateintheSetupModetoavalueotherthanzero.
2. PressandholdtheLOGbuttonforatleast 1.5seconds.Themeterwillflashthe
DATALOGGERiconattheselectedsamplingrateindicatingthatreadingsarenowbeing
automaticallyrecordedtothe
SDcard.
3. Ifacardisnotinsertedorifthecardisdefective,themeterwilldisplayEMPTYandexitthe
DATALOGGERmode.Inthiscase,switchthemeterOFFandtryagainwithavalidSDcard.
4. PausethedataloggerbypressingtheLOGbuttonmomentarily.
TheDATALOGGERiconwill
stopflashingandthesampleratewilldisplayforashorttime.Toresumeloggingsimply
presstheLOGbuttonagainmomentarily.
5. ToterminatethedataloggingsessionpressandholdtheLOGbuttonforatleast1.5
seconds.
6. WhenanSDcardisusedfor
thefirsttimeafolderiscreatedonthecardandnamed
PMA01.Upto99spreadsheetdocuments(eachwith30,000readings)canbestoredinthis
folder.
7. WhendataloggingbeginsanewspreadsheetdocumentnamedPMA01001.xlsiscreatedon
theSDcardinthePMA01folder.Thedata
recordedwillbeplacedinthePMA01001.xls
documentuntil30,000readingsarereached.
8. Ifthemeasurementsessionexceeds30,000readings,anewdocumentwillbecreated
(PMA01002.xls)whereanother30,000readingscanbestored.Thismethodcontinuesfor
upto99documents,afterwhichanotherfolderiscreated(PMA02)

spreadsheetdocumentscanbestored.Thisprocesscontinuesinthissamefashionwith

1. Completeadataloggingsessionasdetailedaboveintheprevioussections.Hint:Forthe
firstfewtests,simplyrecordasmallamountoftestdata.Thisistoensurethatthe
dataloggingprocessiswellunderstoodbeforecommittingtocritical,largescale
datalogging.
2. WiththemeterswitchedOFF,remove
theSDCard.
3. PlugtheSDCarddirectlyintoaPCSDcardreader.IfthePCdoesnothaveanSDcardslot,
useanSDcardadaptor(availableatmostoutletswherecomputeraccessoriesaresold).
4. PowerthePCandrunaspreadsheetsoftwareprogram.Open
thesaveddocumentsinthe
spreadsheetsoftwareprogram(seeexamplespreadsheetdatascreenbelow).

BatteryReplacementandDisposal
Whenthelowbatteryicon appearsontheLCD,thebatteriesmustbereplaced.Several
hoursofaccuratereadingsarestillpossibleinthiscondition;however,batteriesshouldbe
replacedassoonaspossible:
Removethetwo(2)Phillipsscrewsfromtherearofthemeter(directlyabovethetopofthe
tiltstand).
Removeandsafelyplacethebatterycompartmentandscrewswheretheywillnotbe
damagedorlost.
Replacethesix(6)1.5V‘AA’batteriesobservingcorrectpolarity.
Replacethebatterycompartmentcoverwiththetwo(2)Phillipsscrews.

Neverdisposeofusedbatteriesorrechargeablebatteriesinhouseholdwaste.
Asconsumers,usersarelegallyrequiredtotakeusedbatteriestoappropriate
collectionsites,theretailstorewhere thebatterieswerepurchased,orwherever
batteriesaresold.
Disposal:Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.Theuseris
