Measurements
TakingRelativeHumidity/DewPointandAirTemperatureMeasurements
1. Connecttheelectrodetotheprobeinputsocketlocatedonthebottomofthemeter.
2. SwitchthemeterONbypressingthePowerbutton.
3. ThedisplaywillindicateAirtemperatureonthelowerleft(insmalldigitformat)and
either%RHorDewpointtemperatureontheupper
right.
4. PresstheFunctionbuttontoselecteither%RHorDewPointTemperature.
5. PresstheHoldbuttontofreezethecurrentvaluesonthedisplay.
6. PresstheRECbuttontoaccesstheMINMAXRecordingmode.Seedetailedinformation
intheMINMAXRecordingsection.
7. Press
andholdthePowerbuttonfor2secondstoturnthemeterOFF.
DataHold
1. PresstheHOLDbuttontofreezethedisplayedvalue.
2. TheLCDwilldisplayHOLDalongwiththeheldreading.
3. PresstheHOLDbuttonagaintoreleasethedataholdfunction.TheHOLDdisplayicon
willswitchOFF.
MINMAXRecording
Whenselected,theDataRecordingfunctionrecordstheMIN(lowest)andMAX(highest)
readings:
1. PresstheRECbuttononcetostartrecordingMINandMAXreadings.TheRECindicator
willappearonthedisplay.
2. PressRECagainandRECMAXwilldisplayonthescreenalongwiththe
maximumvalue.
3. PressRECagainandthedisplaywillshowRECMINalongwiththeminimumvalue.
4. ToviewtherealtimereadingswhilecontinuingtotracktheMINandMAXvalues,press
theHOLDbuttonwhileeithertheRECMAXorRECMINiconsarevisible;nowonly
the
RECiconwillbevisible.Themeterisnowcontinuingtomonitorthehighest(MAX)and
lowest(MIN)readingsbutisdisplayingrealtimemeasurements.ToviewtheMAXand
MINvaluesagainusetheRECbuttonasdescribedearlier.
5. ToexittheRecordmodeandresettheMINandMAXvalues,pressandholdtheREC
buttonforatleast2seconds.Thedisplaywillreturntothenormaloperatingmodeand
theREC/MAX/MINiconswillalldisappear.

Setupmode
Note:TheSETUPModecannotbeaccessediftheHOLDortheMINMAXfunctionisactive.
1. Opentheflaponthemeter’srightsidetoaccesstherecessedSETbutton.
2. UseapapercliporsmallscrewdrivertopressandholdtheSETbuttonforatleast3seconds
untilthemeterbeepstwice.
3. The‘Code1000’promptshouldappearonthedisplay.Proceed
withthestepsbelow:
ChangetheTemperatureUnitsofMeasure(F/C)
With‘Code1000’showingonthedisplay(asexplainedabove),followthestepsbelow:
1. PressRECandthelowerdisplaylinewillshowtwounitsofmeasureicons.Thesmaller
digitsindicatetheunitofmeasurethatwillbeadoptedwhentheseprogrammingsteps
arecomplete.
2. ToselectF,presstheFunctionbuttonsothatthenumber1appearsandthenpress
REC.
3. ToselectC,presstheFunctionbuttonsothatthenumber0appearsand
thenpress
REC.
4. PresstheHOLDbuttontosavethesettingandreturntothenormaloperatingmode.The
displayshouldnowbeindicatingtheprogrammedunitofmeasure.
EnableDisabletheAutoPowerOFFutility
With‘Code1000’showingonthedisplay(asexplainedabove),followthestepsbelow:
1. PresstheRECbuttonandthenpresstheSETbutton(briefly)toaccesstheAutoOff
mode.
2. ToenabletheAutoOFFmode,presstheFunctionbuttontoindicatea1onthedisplay,
andthenpresstheRECbutton.
3. TodisabletheAuto–OFFmode,presstheFunctionbuttontoindicatea0onthe
display,andthenpresstheRECbutton.
4. PresstheHOLDbuttontosavethesettingandreturntothenormaloperatingmode.


BatteryReplacement
The9Vbatterythatpowerstheinstrumentrequiresreplacingwhenthebatteryiconflasheson
thedisplay.Toreplacethebatteryfollowthestepsbelow:
1. SwitchthemeterOFF.
2. Disconnecttheprobefromtheinstrument.
3. OpentherearbatterycompartmentusingascrewdrivertoremovethetwoPhillipshead
screwsthatsecurethecompartment.
4. Carefullyremovetheoldbatteryfromthecompartmentandgentlyunsnapthebattery’s
terminalsfromthewired(red/black)connecto rs.
5. Installanew9Vbatterybysnappingthebatteryterminalsontothewiredconnectors
(observingcorrectpolarity)andinsertingthebatteryintothecompartment.
6. Installthebatterychamberintothemeterhousingandsecurewiththetwoscrews.
Neverdisposeofusedbatteriesorrechargeablebatteriesinhouseholdwaste.
Asconsumers,usersarelegallyrequiredtotakeusedbatteriestoappropriate
collectionsites,theretailstorewhere thebatterieswerepurchased,orwherever
batteries
aresold.
Disposal:Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.Theuserisobligatedtotake
endoflifedevicestoadesignatedcollectionpointforthedisposalofelectricalandelectronic
equipment.
