XBee-PRO 900 (S4) Modules, Adapters, Gateways
Notice:
Effective November 11, 2015, Digi will begin the EOL process for all XBee-PRO 900 (S4)
Modules, Adapters, and Gateways. This EOL is due to the market obsolescence of multiple
critical components used in these products. To assist our valued customers, we will provide a
migration path for these products that offers improved performance specifications. Note this
migration option will not be over-the-air compatible with the XBee-PRO 900 (S4) products. More
details on this are noted below.
All affected part numbers are listed in the table below for reference, along with part numbers
recommended for migration. Free samples will be provided upon request.
All last time buy orders for all existing XBee-PRO 900 (S4) part numbers must be placed by
January 18, 2016 and all orders will be non-cancellable and non-returnable (NCNR). The last
time ship date for all orders will be April 18, 2016. Please work with your local sales
representative to schedule your last time buy orders as soon as possible.

Recommendation:
Digi recommends the XBee-PRO 900HP Modules, Modems, and Gateways as the optimal
migration path for current customers. These products offer improved performance
characteristics and pin-compatibility at the modular level, although they are not over-the-air
compatible with the XBee-PRO 900 S4-based products.
