dustanddebris,andapowersource.TheunitisdesignedforinstallationinaFujitsuTechnologySolutionsPRIMECENTER
rackorastandard4post,19-inchrack.
3-Ensurethattheworkareaisfreefromconditionsthatcouldcauseelectrostaticdischarge.Dischargestaticelectricityfromyour
bodybytouchingaknowngroundedsurface,suchasacomputer’smetalchassis.
Step2Unpacking
Beforeunpackinganymodules,clearaworksurfacenearthetargetedrackforinstallation.
CAUTIONIfthetemperatureintheroomwherethelibrarywilloperatevariesby15°Cfromwherethemodulewasstored,
allowittoacclimateinthenewenvironmentforatleast12hourspriortounpacking.
1.Beforeopeningandremovingamodulefromthebox,inspectthecontainerforshippingdamage.Ifyounoticeanydamage,
reportittotheshippingcompanyimmediately.
2.Cutandremovethebandsontheoutsideofthecontainer.
3.Liftuptheoutercardboardboxitisnotsecuredtothepallet.
4.Removetheinnercardboardsleevesurroundingthemodule.
5.Removetherackrails.
6.Removetheaccessorykitbox.
7.Removethefoampiecesfromthetopofthemodule.
CAUTIONDonotplacetheunitoneithertheendsorsidesasthismaycausedamage.Donotplaceobjectsontopoftheunit.
8.Withassistance,liftthemoduleoutofthebottomfoamnest,removethewrappingfromthemoduleandthenplacethemodule
withitsbottomontheworksurface.
IMPORTANT
Savethepackagingmaterialsforfutureuse.
Step3Rack-mounting
Thebaselibraryandtheexpansionmodulerequire6U(heightunits)verticalrackspaceeach.
Ifyouinitiallyinstallorlateraddanexpansionmodule,itmustbelocatedbelowthebaselibrary.Youhavetopreparetheinternal
connectionbetweenbothenclosuresbytransferringthebottomcoverofthebaselibrarytothebottomoftheexpansionmodule.
Afterrackmountingyoumustaligntheenclosurestoensurethattherobotcansmoothlyswitchbetweenthem.
