Multiplex Beverage Equipment Installation Instructions for
Drink Staging Platform Kit

Introduction
Before proceeding with the installation of the Drink Staging
Platform, check to see that the holes in the counter-top line
up with the mounting holes in the base of the Drink Staging
Platform (do not mount Drink Staging Platform at this time). If
holes do not line up, use the template provided with the Drink
Staging Platform to drill the required holes in the counter-
top. This also includes the 2" drain hole and the 4
1
/2" x 8"
rectangular cut-out for Syrup/Water lines and drain lines.
Caution: To Avoid Serious Injury
Important: Read the following warnings before beginning an
installation. Failure to do so may result in possible death or
serious injury.
DO Adhere to all National and Local Plumbing and Elec-
trical Safety Codes.
DO Turn “off” incoming electrical service switches
when servicing, installing, or repairing equipment.
DO Check that all flare fittings on the carbonation
tank(s) are tight. This check should be performed
with a wrench to ensure a quality seal.
DO Inspect pressure on Regulators before starting up
equipment.
DO Protect eyes when working around refrigerants.
DO Use caution when handling metal surface edges of
all equipment.
DO Handle CO
2 cylinders and gauges with care. Secure
cylinders properly against abrasion.
DO Store CO
2 cylinder(s) in well ventilated areas.
DO NOT Throw or drop a CO
2 cylinder. Secure the cylinder(s)
in an upright position with a chain.
DO NOT Connect the CO
2 cylinder(s) directly to the product
container. Doing so will result in an explosion caus-
ing possible death or injury. Best to connect the
CO
2 cylinder(s) to a regulator(s).
DO NOT Store CO
2 cylinders in temperature above 125°F
(51.7°C) near furnaces, radiator or sources of heat.
DO NOT Release CO
2 gas from old cylinder.
DO NOT Touch Refrigeration lines inside units, some may
exceed temperatures of 200°F (93.3°C).
Notice: Water pipe connections and fixtures directly connected
to a potable water supply shall be sized, installed and
maintained in accordance with Federal, State, and Local codes.
Mounting the dispensing tower to the
drink staging platform kit
Note A: In most cases, the four (4) existing mounting holes to
the rear of the counter-top will line up with the base of the
Drink Staging Platform and should be used as a reference for
drilling the remaining holes.
Note B: The Drink Staging Platform can not be mounted to a
marine edge counter-top. Marine edge must be cut off before
drilling Drink Staging Platform holes in counter-top.
1. Attach elbow adapter and drain hose to dispensing tower
drain.
2. Attach Lidding Platform to Staging Platform Riser using
four (4)

/4"-20 x
1
/2" screws and nuts.
3. Apply bead of RTV sealant to bottom flange of dispensing
tower and position tower on Staging Platform. Align
three (3) holes in Lidding Platform with three (3) holes in
front flange of Dispensing Tower Drain Pan. Secure with
three (3)
1
/4"-20 x
1
/2" screws from bottom of Lidding Plat-
form.
4. Remove rear panel of Staging Platform and secure Dis-
pensing Tower at rear with
1
/4"-20 x
1
/2" screws and nuts
through rear flanges of Dispensing Tower and Staging Plat-
form.
Note: Dispensing Tower will overhang Staging Platform at sides
and rear.
5. Remove Splash Panel from Dispensing Tower and position
Staging Platform/ Dispensing Tower in position on counter.
Apply RTV sealant to bottom flange and secure Staging
Platform to counter with

/4"-20 x
1
/2" screws.
6. Route soda and syrup lines up through counter-top and
make connections to Dispensing Tower.
7. After checking for leaks, replace rear panel of Staging
Platform and Dispensing Tower Splash Panel. Install wire
drink rack in lower staging pan.
Completing the installation
The installation of the Drink Staging Platform is complete.
Refer to dispensing tower installation instructions provided
with unit to complete installation of dispensing tower.
