CMP DEL UV-C Flow Switch Installation guide

6. Remove nut from bulkhead connector. Route wiring
through access cover hole and nut. Tighten nut to
bulkhead connector. The bulkhead connector o-ring will
form a water tight seal to the access cover.
7. Locate pressure switch in the top of the DEL UV-C 50
main housing. Do not remove the pressure switch, it
will remain in place.
3. Note and mark access cover drill location above.
4. Remove access cover as described in Section 2 of the
DEL UV-C 50 Manual.
5. Drill 7/8” hole in access cover, being careful not to
damage internal components or wiring.

8. Remove two wiring harness connectors from pressure
switch and mate them with the new wires from the ow
switch.
9. For details, see wiring diagram in Section 3 of the DEL
UV-C 50 Manual. (Note “pressure switch connector” will
become the “ow switch connector.”)
10. Reinstall access cover as described in Section 2 of DEL
UV-C 50 Manual.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• If DEL UV-C 50 green indicator light is not on:
• The ow switch is not active: Flow is less than 20gpm. Increase ow through the unit (for example, with a multi-
speed pump you will increase pump speed)
• The ow switch cord is not connected: Connect the cord to activate.
• The ow switch is installed backwards: Orient the ow switch according to water ow in the direction of the arrow
marking on the label of the ow switch.

11. Locate DEL UV-C 50 outlet plumbing location for
installation of ow switch tee. Ideally this location will be
a minimum one foot long horizontal pipe that the tee
can be centered in. If this is not available, the tee can be
located elsewhere in the pool plumbing system as long it
senses DEL UV-C 50 ow and is within reach of the ow
switch cord.
12. Install the ow switch tee into the pool plumbing system,
noting ow direction as shown on the ow switch label.
13. The ow switch is now installed.
