Description of parts
Before the first time you use your Coffee Maker
Please read these operating instructions thoroughly and keep them
in a safe place for future reference.
Remove all packing materials.
Before using the coffee maker for the first time, wash the carafe jug
and the coffee filter in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly
afterwards. Wipe the inside filter housing inside with clean, soft,
damp cloth.
Fill the water tank up to the ‘max’ mark and then empty by pouring
the water away.
Operating Instructions
Stand the coffee maker on a solid, level, non-flammable surface.
Fill the water tank with the desired amount of water using the scale
on the side of the tank. Note add a slight more water than required
to allow for the water absorbed by the powder. Do not fill above the
‘max’ mark.
Release and rotate out the hinged filter housing and insert the
coffee filter ensuring that it is properly seated.
Add the desired amount of coffee powder into the filter, the amount
of powder will need to be varied according to personal taste and
coffee manufactures recommendations.
Swing the filter housing back in and click home.
Insert the mains plug into the mains socket (with dry hands!) and
press the mains switch in the ‘I position.
The coffee maker will begin to brew the coffee and fill the Carafe
with coffee.
Once the water tank has emptied, the coffee in the Carafe jug will
be kept warm by the warming plate.
Switch off the coffee maker by pressing ‘0’ on the mains switch and
remove the mains plug from the socket after use.
NB This coffee maker has a feature that enables the carafe to be
removed whilst the coffee maker is making coffee so that a drink
can be made before the machine has finished brewing.
Care and Use of your Coffee Maker
Always disconnect the Coffee Maker from the mains power supply
before cleaning.
Wash the Carafe jug and filter in warm soapy water.
Clean outside of the coffee maker with a clean damp cloth. Never
clean with harsh or abrasive cleaners.
Rinse out the water tank with fresh water
Do not submerge the coffee maker in water or any other liquids.
Hints For Great Tasting Coffee
A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee.
Regularly clean the coffee maker as specified in the “Care and Use”
section above.
Always use fresh, cold water in the coffee maker.
Store unused coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a
package of coffee powder, reseal it tightly and store it in the fridge
to keep it fresh.
For a better coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and finely grind
them just before brewing.
Do not reuse coffee powder since this will greatly reduce the coffee’
flavour. Reheating coffee is not recommended as coffee is at its
peak flavour immediately after brewing.
