Matsui MCE100 is a versatile coffee maker that allows you to prepare both espresso and regular coffee, as well as cappuccino with frothed milk. Hol d a jug c ontaini ng cold wat er un der the
ste am nozzle and immerse the nozzle in the
col d water.
Tur n the s with to ste am positi on un til ste am
com e out o f the ste am no zzle. Kee p the nozzle
in the c old water until the flow o f
ste am stops.

Tur n the Espres so/Capp uccino Swi tch to OFF
It is now s afe to rem ove the boil er cap and
fil ter holder .
Making Cappuccino
Sta rt the espress o making pro cess. Add e xtra
wat er to the boil er chamber.
Fil l a small stainl ess steel jug or mug
1/3 o r 1/2 f ull wit h fre sh cold mil k.
Lif t the jug unti l the s team nozz le is immers ed
up to 1/2 c m in the milk .
W A R N I N G : THE BODY OF THE JUG/MUG WILL
BE BECOME VERY HOT DURING
FROTHING.

After use
Turn the Espresso/Cappuccino switch to steam position and adjust the steam flow to
achieve the desired froth.
Turn the Espresso /Cappuccino switch to OFF. Follow page 6 to release pressure,
until the volume of the milk has doubled.
The top half will be frothed milk and the
bottom half will be steamed milk.
Spoon the foam into the cups with the espresso
coffee. Add the liquid milk.
A cappuccino should consist of 1/3 coffee,
1/3 hot milk and 1/3 froth.

How to use your coffee maker to make coffee

the car afe is rep laced, the b rewing pro cess
and t he flow of cof fee into the c arafe will
con tinue.

mak e sure you rep lace it within 2 0 seconds .

Wip e the outsid e of the nozzle with a wet
clo th. You can tur n the Espres so/Capp uccino
swi tch to steam positio n to let the stea m
esc ape into the
wet c loth for one o r two
sec onds, the n tur n

Descaling your MCE100
The e spresso mach ine and t he coffeem aker must be des caled reg ularly.
The f requenc y dep ends on the h ardness o f you r water and h ow often
you u se the machine . Recogni zable ind ica tions tha t descali ng is
nec essary are :

If usa ge is freque nt, des cal ing sho uld be carrie d out as fol lows:

We rec ommend the u se of citric a cid, whic h can be obtain ed from
che mists.

Mak er
Bef ore descal ing, the bre wing siev e must be
rem oved from the machine . To remove the
sie ve, unscre w the cross- head scre w and lift
out .
Rem ove all lime scale and c off ee residu e from the bre wing siev e and
bre wing head .
Dis solve 2 tables poons of cit ric aci d in 30 0 ml of lukewa rm water and
pou r it into the boil er chambe r. Put a cup und er the brewing h ead and
ano ther unde r the s team nozz le.
P le a s e N ot e
Do not u se the filt er holder duri ng descal ing. Let the d escalin g
sol ution run thro ugh the b rew ing hea d.
Whe n all the flui d has run out
of the m achine, s witch the mach ine off a nd allow it and t he descal ing
sol ution to coo l.

Dis solve 2 tables poons of cit ric aci d in 50 0 ml of water and pour int o

Swi tch the mach ine ON and run the soluti on throug h 2 or 3 times. The
hot d escalin g sol ution
mus t be allowed to coo l down betw een
ope rations .
Fin ally, run 2 x 500 ml of clean wat er throug h the m achine.
