Dear Polaview 330 Sales Partner:
Now there’s an XGAprojector that provides the sharpness, brilliance and portability that so many
organizations demand. It’s the Polaview 330 XGAPortable Projector.
The Polaview 330 has been designed for anyone who needs XGA sharpness, the brilliance of 700
lumens, and the impact of 24-bit color. In addition to true boardroom-quality projection and workstation
compatibility, the Polaview 330 comes with a full-featured remote control. An optional palm-size
Universal Interlink Remote Point Cordless Mouse is also available, offering presenters a reliable, easy-to-
use means of controlling their computers during their presentations. Because the projector weighs only
13 pounds and measures just 14 x 11 x 5 inches, it will fit under the seat or in the overhead compartment
of an airplane, so we’ve also included a convenient travel case with room for a laptop computer. With all
of these additional features, the Polaview 330 is still one of the least-expensive XGAprojectors on the
market today.
The Polaview 330 offers 1024 x 768 XGA(Extended Graphics Array) resolution, making it ideal
for use with applications such as spreadsheets, business graphics, GIS, CAD/CAM, solid modeling,
command and control, analytical, and diagnostics. The Auto Sync and Auto Scan features allow the user
to project images that are automatically formatted to fit the entire screen. And with 700 lumens and 24-bit
color (16.7 million colors overall) the Polaview 330 has the power and brilliance to deliver a sharp, clear
image even in a “lights-up” room environment. Full workstation compatibility, including most PC,
Macintosh and workstation platforms, full-featured polysilicon LCD technology for sharper images,
zoom, impressive 3-watt stereo speakers, backlit remote control, and high-interface logic for the
simplicity of plug-and-play projection are some of the features that make the Polaview 330 a sure winner
for you and your customers.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Do I need to take any precautions when transporting the Polaview 330?
Because the Polaview 330 is so portable, you never lose direct control over the device, as you might when
checking a piece of luggage onto an airplane. The fact that the Polaview 330 can be taken onto an airplane
as a “carry-on” means that it never has to be subjected to rough handling or extreme changes in
temperature. However, since the Polaview 330 is a sensitive, technological product, care should be taken
in transporting it. Avoid exposing the projector to sunlight or leaving it in your car for extended periods
of time. Like all projectors, the Polaview 330 is sensitive to extreme heat or cold, so allow at least 10
minutes equilibrium time before turning it on. To make moving the Polaview 330 easier and safer a soft-
sided carrying case is included with room for a computer as well as the projector.
Are there any major Polaroid features being traded off in order to give the
Polaview 330 its portability?
Nothing other than weight and size! Other larger Polaroid projectors might project somewhat brighter
images and include more features like PCMCIAATA card or P in P capability, but the overall image
quality and XGA resolution of the Polaview 330 are ideally suited for most presentations. Technically, 700
lumens is enough for most lighting situation, and PC-quality projectors have been the standard in the
computer-projection field for years.
When would the Polaview 330 be the Polaroid projector of choice?
The Polaview 330 can be used in most projection situations. It is especially appropriate for the “on-the-
go” salesperson or presenter who needs both the portability and the sharp, clear images that the Polaview
330 provides. Its XGAsharpness and clarity makes the Polaview 330 ideal for spreadsheets, CAD and
even medical diagnostic image presentation.
What is the difference between the backlit projector remote control with mouse and
the Universal Interlink Remote Point Cordless Mouse?
The optional Universal Interlink Remote Point Cordless Mouse enables the user to control the
presentation with a simple, cordless, palm-size mouse that he or she can use to move the cursor and
“point and click.” The full-featured backlit remote control that is included provides the presenter with
complete control of the projector. Some presenters prefer a simple remote like the Interlink while others
may prefer a more fully-functional remote.

Polaview 330 XGA Portable LCD Projector
7
Does it matter what kind of projection screen should I use?
Although you can always project the image onto a bare wall, a good screen greatly enhances the quality
of a presentation. There are three main varieties of screen: matte, lenticular, and beaded. The matte screen
surface is a bit dull, but because they have a wide viewing angle, they are a good choice when the
audience is seated all the way out to the sides of the room. Lenticular screens reflect light from very thin
ridges, so the image is quite sharp directly in front of the screen. Beaded screens combine the best of both
worlds, reflecting light very well and allowing a wide viewing angle.
What is advanced polysilicon technology?
Basically, it is an advanced manufacturing process that deposits polycrystalline silicon on a plate. This
high-temperature deposition of polycrystalline silicon creates a definite crystal structure in defined
regions of the plate. This process produces a silicon LCD that transmits a sharp image.
What makes the Polaview 330 XGA Portable LCD Projector different from other

700 lumens and offers tremendous convenience and portability. This is the optimal portable XGA

can increase the efficiency of the information exchange.

The new Polaview 330 LCD Projector is the ideal solution for those who require easy to use, portable
projection. It’s the ideal projector for sales presentations, training sessions, visual analysis and

Presentation Settings
Executive Briefings A presenter can quickly and easily prepare and deliver a presentation to a
board of directors, financial conference or similar audience using the
Polaview series together with any of several widely available presentation
software packages. Since the preparation of a presentation to be delivered
with an LCD projection device does not require the assistance of third-party
suppliers, long lead times are not required and information can be easily
updated. The presenter can prepare additional backup material in
anticipation of questions which may be asked by the audience, knowing that
the backup material can be accessed easily at any time during the
presentation if needed. Presenters in executive briefing settings typically
value such features as superior image quality and brightness, color range,
multimedia capability, portability, ease-of-use and the ability to access any
part of the presentation non-sequentially. They also value the infrared remote
mouse, which enables the presenter to control the presentation while
interacting with the audience.
Sales Presentations Because of the portability of the Polaview line, a salesperson can easily carry
a projector to a customer site. Using the LCD projector together with any of
several widely available presentation software packages, a salesperson can
tailor a presentation to a particular customer situation. While traveling, the
salesperson can use a notebook computer to customize each presentation.
Salespersons typically value such projection system features as portability,
brightness, image quality, the ability to access parts of the presentation non-
sequentially and the ability to customize presentations easily.
Training and Education The Polaview LCD products are used extensively for training and education
purposes. In a software training course, for instance, the instructor can
project a screen for the entire class, allowing the group to study the material
simultaneously and allowing the instructor to provide real-time examples
and instruction. Instructors typically value such features as portability,
affordability, interactivity and image brightness.

Work Group Settings
Financial Analysis Work groups can prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and other financial
models using the Polaview LCD line along with popular spreadsheet
applications such as Microsoft Excel and Lotus 1-2-3. For example, a budget
can be analyzed to see the effects on profits should revenues increase or
decrease, or should sales commissions change. The ability to work in real
time can enhance the performance of work groups by fostering more
interaction among group members and can improve the efficiency of the
entire process by eliminating delays associated with generating multiple
iterations. Work groups performing financial analyses typically value such
features as portability, brightness, price performance, ease of document
retrieval, and hardware and software compatibility.
Product Design Scientists, engineers and product designers can use the Polaview LCD
product series for group design reviews, project scheduling and
management reporting. While evaluating the design or project schedule
together, the group can also make changes, see the changes and see their
results immediately. In addition, technical simulations can be run in a group
setting. Prior to the advent of LCD projection products, these groups were
limited to reviewing static drawings or printed materials, offering
suggestions or modifications and then waiting for a revised version to be
generated and circulated. Product design groups typically value such
features as portability, high resolution, color and brightness.
